I could eat breakfast all day and if you love breakfast food, this is the place for you. There's often a long line out the door, but locals just chat and enjoy the anticipation of great atmosphere, great service and delicious food. I love the omelets and the pain perdue. The drinks and cocktails are also cool and tasty. We... More

My husband and I were in town for a festival and had Sunday breakfast at the Ruby Slipper in Mid-City. The wait to be seated was shorter than expected and the food was well worth the wait. I had the special of the day, a delicious "Shrimp Cortez." Hubby had a split-dish eggs benedict. Both were very delicious!

We wanted to hit this place after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor and I have to say it was OK and pricy. I had the benedict that was served with Applewood bacon, which was chewy. The dish was served all by itself on the plate; no garnish, no nothing. It looked less than spectacular; it tasted OK. The home fries came... More

The egg combinations were imaginative and fun. Great presentation. It is a little crowded though - small and popular. Looks a little isolated and dumpy from the outside.

I consider myself a tough customer and a brunch dilettante, but my real area of expertise is in the taxonomy and appraisal of the elusive delicious egg biscuit sandwich. It is in this particular genus of menu items where the ruby slipper excels in every way. Don't walk, run to this establishment and order one immediately.

The food was delicious and the service was great! Everything looked scrumptious when it was delivered to the table. I really enjoyed the Bananas Foster Pain Perdu!!! The berry mimosa was quite tasty as well. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast and the portions were certainly filling. Definitely would recommend it for a breakfast stop!
