Loved everything about this place. We first had great drinks prepared by Sunny, she makes a great margarita. We then sat out in the courtyard and had a great experience provided by our waitress Joannie. The lamb was fantastic as was the filet and lobster. The cheese board started us off perfectly then we ended with some magnificent bread pudding.... More

We had a very enjoyable time sitting in the outdoor courtyard of the Grapevine. The French Quarter gets quite crazy and this location provided a welcome respite. The food was only okay and the wine list was a bit disappointing but the location made up for it. The best thing we tried were the mussels. Very tasty, though perhaps richer... More

We are glad you liked our lovely courtyard. We do not understand the comment about our wine list. We currently have in stock over 280 different bottles of wine and 65 different wines by the glass. Our wine reps hold weekly tastings and we are constantly adding more wines to our menu. If you have a wine that is your... More

My 10 year ordered mussels and ate them all. Great food. We had the chicken and Red Snapper. The service was excellent. You can't go wrong. It's feels exactly like New Orleans should be. Atmosphere, service and great food.

We found this little gem of a bar/restaurant after going on a history and ghost buster tour just around the corner. The late hours were perfect for us. Drinks were very good, bar service was excellent and the cheese plates - YUM!!! In fact everything we ate and drank was excellent. Prices were right too and it was a great... More

My boyfriend and I were here for 5 days and yes we did hit all of the "must do" dining venues but have to say we throughly enjoyed Grapevine wine bar and bistro. From the moment we entered the restaurant , my mouth watered with the aromas of food coming from the kitchen. The small plates are to die for... More

This place has a very comfortable and clean environment with lots of character. You'd never guess that you were just off Bourbon street. The staff was awesome and the atmosphere was very nice without being too loud or busy. Both of our meals were very nice and the lamb chops were some of the best we've had. It would be... More

We arrived in the French Quarter after a long flight and were able to dine without a reservation in a delightful courtyard. Very nice food and excellent service by a young team of staff.

Had dinner here twice, we liked the wine menu! Food was great, it was the first time in my life that I had been served sweet butter, I liked it! Had cajun gumbo soup, was too salty for my taste, shrimp were pasty not the texture I like, but I had beef medallions that were absolutely delicious and oohh so... More

We stopped in for their bacon happy hour and sat at the bar and enjoyed some wine. Terrific wine selection and attentive bartender. We enjoyed their grilled oysters and complimentary bacon strips while chatting with other local and traveling patrons. A must for just a drink at the bar and we heard their food is terrific also.

This beautiful two-story building was erected in 1809 by Antoine Angué where he opened the Vieux Carré’s first Creole Bistro called, The Restaurant d’Orleans. Today, the property is owned by the noted local business team of Pam Fortner and Earl Bernhardt. Lovingly renovated with its prestigious past in mind, The Orleans Grapevine continues the tradition by offering discriminating diners the best in fine dining and an extensive wine list in a beautiful, intimate yet relaxed atmosphere. We feature many unique and seasonal special dishes & specials.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
