MILA had delicious food, especially the appetizer that was a tower with crab and shrimp -- fantastic. The portions were large and the food was tasty. The service was excellent since the place was quite empty ---bummer since the food was good. Prices were reasonable too.

Breakfast buffet had grits, oatmeal, eggs, fruit, yogurt, bagels, sausage, bacon and potatoes. There were no pancakes on waffles on the buffet. We didn't use the menu because we had a package deal to use the buffet with our group stay. But the food was always hot and seasoned well.

Who knew that what I thought were pretty good grits where not at all good. After the first spoonful I was hooked. The breakfast buffet is worth the money.

Great breakfast buffet and the waitress was great. Remembered our drink preferences from the previous day!

Stopped in early for dinner since we had a show to attend and sampled the appetizer and soups. Caesar salad was one of the best I have had in a restaurant with sufficient garlic flavor and anchovies included. Added the grilled shrimp were perfectly done and spicey. Smoked Chicken & Andouille Gumbo was also a hit and was nicely balanced.

Friendly staff and great food. We had the complementary buffet with our stay at the Pere Marquette Hotel. We enjoyed the variety of food and service.

We stayed at the hotel and frequented the MiLa Restaurant for breakfast. They have a very good buffet, but also a nice (more economical) regular menu. The service was EXCELLENT. Special mention to "Ashley" who waited on us several times. Always a smiling face first thing in the morning, quick service, attentive, remembered our morning drink choices after our first... More

I was staying at the Renasissance Pere Marquette, which MiLa is attached to. I was only here for the breakfast buffet. Thank you Yvonne at the front desk for suggesting we try the Boudin...it was delicious! The buffet offered an assortment of pastries, fruit, cereals, and other breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, grits, oatmeal, sausage, boudin, and potatoes. Service... More

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet both days during our French Quarter Festival weekend. There was a variety of food that would appeal to everyone. The fresh fruit was delicious and they offered local favorites including boudin sausage that was a hit with our party! The Mimosas and Bloody Mary's also scored high marks!

The food was good. However, the turkey bacon was very dry (like a thin piece of jerky and appeared to have been microwaved). The breakfast buffet needs more non-pork options, seafood, chicken, etc.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
