Great little Irish Bar. Lots of character Great street view right from the bar No eats only drawback but worth the visit. Decent selection of brews

We stopped here for some refreshments after walking around shopping. My husband particularly wanted to stop here because they have Smithwick's on tap. Friendly bartender was a plus, too.

There's nothing special about Ryan's. It's just a bar with an Irish theme. Drinks are about the same as you would find them in the area. They are pet friendly, though, so that's a plus.

Very friendly wait staff. I was there three times in three days. Each time a different bartender and they were all great. Love the quiet respite from the chaos a few blocks away.

This is a nice Irish bar on Decatur Street. Very lively but relatively tame for the NO French Quarter. Drinks well priced and pourings very generous. A nice place to stop by after havig dinner at one of the many nearby restaurants,

We stopped in here after another New Year's Eve party was kind of dull and we were happy to find a good crowd, a good beer selection and generous seating. This is more a sports bar than an Irish pub, but the folks are really friendly and they have some of my favorite beers on tap, so I was happy.... More

When we stopped in, I happened to have on my Guinness sweatshirt from St James Gate in Dublin - however that got me a handshake, not a free beer. We stopped in to listen to the music and just enjoy the atmosphere. Great place.

I like to visit the haunted bars, but as far as I can tell, their are only made up tales to draw a crowd. There is nothing note worthy about it with a tired clown behind the bar.

I stopped in here a few times walking from my hotel to restaurants, the bartender was very efficient and the Guinness well poured. There were an interesting collection of patrons during my visits who provided entertainment in addition to the TV and Stout. It's a nice spot and I will be back.

Would recommend. Small, but quaint. Typically Irish Pub look and feel. Friendly staff and clientele. If you're expecting a club scene, this is not the place. :)

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
