I have eaten at the restaurant a number of times and always have great food but the service is usually lacking. My visit in early April 2016 was no different. My husband and I had gone with another couple and we asked for a check to be split. At the end of the dinner, we asked the waiter and he... More

Good food and great atmosphere. My first time trying Beer Cheese Soup. I'm not a beer drinker, but I liked it!

I've been here a few times (it's where I first learned to appreciate scotch), and the latest was another quality visit. Surprised it was as empty as it was, even though it was a weeknight. The staff was friendly. The place has a bit of Irish charm to it, and their liquor selection is good. Definitely someplace I'd return next... More

We stopped in for Saturday brunch. We were seated right away and it was not busy when we sat down. We ordered and we waited. We waited and waited. 45 mins later we started getting our food. 4 of us got food. Another waited another 5 minutes. We asked for some lettuce and tomatoes for our kid's burger which was... More

A nice Irish pub on the Capitol Square, cleverly named (Irish for "Badger's den"). You get a great Old World feeling of being in a cozy Dublin pub when you walk in, made even nicer when a group is playing Irish ballads up front during dinner. Good beer & whiskey selections, tasty apps, and a good dinner selection. I can... More

You have to love the Brocach. It's like a classic old Dublin pub dropped onto the Capitol Square in Madison. The bar is always great and they sometimes have an Irish musical group playing. This trip found the food a bit wanting. The slaw and fries with my fish were soggy and someone else's stew lacked flavor. They were also... More

For those nights when the Old Fashioned is too crowded, try walking to the nearby Brocach for a fun atmosphere, yummy Irish food, and a good beer selection. We held a family event in one of the (elevator accessible) upstairs private rooms. Even there it was noisy but we had a great time and a fine meal at reasonable cost.

A nice Irish pub, with good beers. Lots of fun nooks and crannies for sitting as couple or a small group. And to top it off, the night we were there, they were screening the first Star Wars film, too.

We had a great time at Brocach last Friday! There were 8 of us town for the UW game. We were seated quickly and the service was great! We enjoyed some good beers ( and a couple shots! ) and the food was really good. We had Reuben's, patty melts and I had a really good BLT. Would recommend!

Thank DMMM
