We acually got a way for a few hours without kids. We decided to stop here as it was one of the few places in the area allowing dinning inside. When you walk in you can sell the wood fire grill going and see the...chicken roasting. I decided to try the cheddar bacon burger and fries. My wife had the same but instead of fries had the coleslaw. The burger was good. I was a little concerned as it came with spinach and some sort of sauce that had a kick to it. I will be honest I have some texture issues and don't generally enjoy a leafy anything on a burger. I know it is strange that bacon does not trigger it but leafy things do. Still this was decent and I ate most of the burger with it on it. The fries were seasoned. My wife also enjoyed her burger and took half of it home as it was more than she could eat. I tried a forful of her coleslaw as I am picky about coleslaw. It was amazing, it almost had a sweat taste to it. I also want to mention that the waitress was really friendly. When we didn't order a second round of beer she without being asked brought over glasses of water. You don't get that kind of service often so it was appreciated. Overall it was a great stop. I am glad we stopped and it most likely would not have been a place our son would have enjoyed. Good food, good service, and the wood fire grill smell made for a enjoyable time.More

I am allergic to garlic. I cannot even tolerate garlic powder. I told the server and she asshured me the Ruben was garlic free. (She even checked with the kitchen) They were obviously wrong because I became ill within 20 minutes. After a 4 hour...stint in the bathroom I can detest the corned beef had garlic. It ruined my day. I cannot be the only one with this issue. I wish there were menu items that could safely be recommended.More

Excellent service. Inviting cabin-like atmosphere. Food very good with ample portion (half rack of ribs). Easy to find location. Prices a bit high, but not too bad for a big city. Local wines on the menu - try the Wollersheim Prairie Fume.

We went there two times over few years. Very good overall, but I can't remember a single dish, which tells me that nothing stood out and I didn't take any photos of the meals (but it doesn't mean it's not good, just that there was...no pizazz to it) . Wood grill is great for meats, so worth going there again.More

What a pleasant surprise! I was not expecting the amazing food and dining experience we had a Doolittle’s. I thought with the location being in a mall parking lot I expected more of a “chain restaurant “ experience but was totally blow away with it....Loved it! Will definitely go there again the next time we are in Madison.More

This is one of my favorite spots in Madison for a nice dinner. The service is five-star and there is fare for any taste. I recommend sharing the Walleye Fingers as an appetizer and the Fish Tacos are my favorite. This spot is great for...small intimate dinners or group gatherings.More

It was my second time here this year. In the last week of June I had the mussels which were tasty enough but resulted in food poisoning by mid afternoon. Today’s visit was the seared pear salad with chicken. You can have it meatless for...a dollar less but the quality of the chicken in this case warranted a two dollar reduction. Overall.....meh.More

Two couples had dinner on a Saturday night and the place was busy. The Calamari with Buttermilk sauce is extremely good. Barely enough for four, this is the best appetizer on the menu. The Roasted Chicken was excellent. Moist and great seasoning. The half is...a full meal and you can order the smaller portion which is really small. The bread with Rosemary had a nice taste. Service was really good and they checked if we wanted another round from the bar. Highly recommended.More

The food was good and the portions were small. I had tacos with chips and guacamole. It was lots of chips and good pork tacos. The guacamole was less than a teaspoon. The guacamole was the reason I ordered. My husband had rotisserie chicken 1/4...and you could barely see it on his plate. It looked more like a 1/4 of Cornish hen. Taste was there but if you are hungry go somewhere else.More

The place rocks and if you love airplanes it’s a must. Low key great wait staff ! Except the bartender. If she is serving food the service will be the worst. She needs to stay behind the bar. With that said the food is great very...classy menu. The coffee is coffee house quality. The Walley figures are out of this world a must have!More
