This place is like a small supper club in rural Wisconsin. Good food, good drinks, and good service with a smile.

Located right across the street from the Capitol building. Service was impeccable. Best "lightly" fried cheese curds ever, generous portions of perch fish fry was delicious and I opted for the side salad instead of the fries due to all the fried food I was having, that too was delicious. The coleslaw was very, very good with poppy seeds in... More

I enjoy the food, but the constant wait and noise factor once you get in are too much. A victim of its own success. Now I only go if I want to take someone who wants "typical Wisconsin" fare but don't want to travel from the core downtown area.

The fish fry was awesome. Was very crowded but was worth the wait. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere! Can't wait to go back. Loved the tarter sauce.

I had the ribs special, perfectly done. Right downtown near everything. They have Old bar food menu, tried the pickled turkey gizzards, very.....interesting😀 Can't wait to... More

Fun upbeat atmosphere, good volume level to bring kids. Loved the cheese curds, nice light batter. The salad with Door county cherries was excellent. Walleye sandwich was 3 stars out of 5 stars. Outstanding selection of on tap Wisconsin beers.

We arrived at The Old Fashioned at 4pm on a Saturday and it was already busy. We were seated quickly, and were glad we got there when we did as the line kept growing. We were seated by the door, so it was pretty chilly from all of the people coming and going. The sandwiches are all reasonably priced and... More
