Going into the restaurant, you'll see a Wisconsin map showing from where food is sourced. That locally sourced food is made into fabulous creative dishes. If you're GF, try their garbanzo bean bread! And then there's the view - you're looking out toward the Capital & Capital square. I've had great breakfasts and lunches there.

There was a long wait to get in on a busy Friday evening, though the hostess was very nice and accommodating. The view of the capitol is lovely but the room is crowded and noisy. The menu was fairly limited and seemed expensive ($18 for spaghetti and meatballs?). Food was OK. Didn't seem to measure up to the hype, for... More

My wife and I arrived in Madison for a visit, and based on tripadvisor advice, we headed to Graze. We chose wisely, and we enjoyed a very good dinner before enjoying the summer concerts on the capital grounds. The mac and cheese is probably the best we have ever enjoyed. My grass fed burger was top notch. We passed on... More

Located off the Capital Square, Graze Restaurant has locally-produced food, that more importantly features healthy choices. If you enjoy dining outdoors, Graze can check that box with umbrellas at most, if not all tables to shield you from the Wisconsin sun. While there may not be a large abundance of menu items there are enough to satisfy most tastes.

I love the concept of responsible food production and eating locally produced food. The meal was uneven, but overall was very good. The beet salad is good, but like many others of its kind I've had. The deviled eggs looked great and were very creamy, but did not have a lot of flavor. The bibimbap was outstanding - lots of... More

Local suppliers of ingredients, very personable service (thank you, Frances) and ample portions at a fair price. Beautiful, modern restaurant inside as well as dining outside. A small but complete menu for brunch and a full bar for those who need their "bloody" make this the destination of choice for us when in Madison. The Old Fashioned a block away... More

I had several people recommend Graze to me while traveling in Madison. I had very high expectations. The food was very good. I was not wowed by what I ordered, Mac and Cheese with Pork. I probably should have gone with something else. The drinks were fabulous. Service great. Will visit again and try something else!

The owners of Graze own many other restaurants on the Square and elsewhere in Madison. Two of us ate at Graze, which is located across the street from the State Capital Building recently. We sat in their outdoor patio, which is a wonderful space; the interior of the restaurant is attractive, airy, also wonderful. They have excellent wait staff -... More

Great experience and we will return to this low key bistro-type restaurant. (Possibly fancier in the evening? with the lights of the Capitol in view). I had a divine asparagus/artichoke soup followed by a delicious, fresh walnut/beet burger. Yum! Excellent service and central location. Walked across the street and toured the Capitol following lunch. What's not to like?

Everything looked so good that we did a lot of sharing. We started with Pork Buns and Fried Hook's Cheese Curds, then Marinated Beets salad, and finally split a Pub Burger. All were very good. We had the opportunity the next day at Saturday's Market Day to sample the pastry chef's excellent offerings - almond and raspberry croissants. An efficient... More
