You stand in line to oder and pick your order up when buzzed. Great homey menu and an impressive collections of scones.

Visited for breakfast with a friend. Food was good and plentiful. Wish we had tried some of the bakery. It looked great. This is a quaint place to visit.

As I wandered the neighborhood early one morning looking for coffee, I came upon Lazy Jane's - the only place open at 7 AM. They have friendly staff, good coffee, and home-baked pastry. A local told me they are famous for their scones. Their breakfasts are good, too.

Food was incredible. I had the grilled pastrami and would do it again 100 times. Cashier wasn't terribly friendly, but you only deal with him for a minute.

This was pretty good for the price paid. I'd show a photo, but we are our food too quickly to get one! I do prefer having waiters to refill waters, but that's my lazy side coming out... It's such a cute place and the food option varieties are great!

Anytime I'm in town I come back to Lazy Janes for the Blackberry scone. It is heavenly! I stay for breakfast if I can but if you only have a second- stop in and grab the best scone you'll ever have.

I've lived in Madison ~5 years and Lazy Jane's has consistently been one of my favorite brunch spots. First - THE SCONES. Don't miss out, get one! If you want a traditional, home cooked breakfast this is a great place to get just that. Cash only and often a long line, but it's always worth the wait!

This was recommended by the proprietor of our BnB. The restaurant is located in a former house with limited space and seating on the mail level. Additional tables are available upstairs. Food is ordered at the counter. It was good but not extraordinary. Water service is do it yourself, as are syrup and other amenities. Cash is the only acceptable... More

I tried Lazy Jane's for a second time and once again was VERY disappointed. It was not busy so there was no excuse for poor service and sub-par food. I went back because of all the previous great reviews and co-workers recommendations. Thought my first disappointing visit was a fluke.....I will not be tricked into a third visit.
