This was the best dining experience of my life. That L'Etoile doesn't have a Michelin star is a discredit to the rating system.

My first taste of Chef Torey Millers 7 course tasting menu! A Foodie experience! His Foie Gras dish has inspired me to make it numerous times!
While in Madison travelling for work, we went to l'Etoile to celebrate a colleague's birthday. Although we knew that the reviews were good, this restaurant exceeded our expectations. We all opted for the Seven-course Chef's Tasting Menu with matched wines. This gave a good sample...More
This is a go to special occasion evening for us. We LOVE tasting menus with wine pairings and L'Etoile knows how to do this VERY well. Don't drive, though because you are guaranteed to be a bit tipsy after 7 courses, each with a fairly...More
Consistently refer this restaurant as the best in Madison and we always had a wonderful experience there until the last visit. My two issues are the long time it took - 20 mins - to clear our table after the first AND second courses, and,...More
Spent the better part of two weeks in Wisconsin so our sample size is limited but this was far and away the best meal we had. It's a very elegant restaurant located just East of the capital building and while you really don't have much...More
Beautiful renovated building, with a spectacular view of the capital. Quite an upscale food experience.
L'Etoile is a fine dining restaurant on the Capitol Square that focuses on local and sustainably sourced ingredients. The menu is influenced by numerous culinary traditions, mostly French. Good for romantic dinner or business affairs. Visited on February 2017
The restaurant sits on the square with white linen tables and a tip top staff. For french, it was surprisingly unpretentious, which was nice. Two issues. First, almost nothing in the way of vegetarian fare and second was cost. These were Chicago prices in Madison.
