Right across from the State Capital on Pinckney Street sits this neat restaurant that utilizes many farm fresh products in their cooking. I had the hanger steak dinner that was to die for; while my wife had a tortellini dish stuffed with ricotta cheese and peas - both providing unique flavors and accompanying fresh vegtable combinations. Carrot cake with lots... More

We attended during Madison's Restaurant Week. We had reservations and arrived on time so we were seated immediately in a back room (the best part of this place is seeing the activity on the street but that would not be so for us this night). The service was exceedingly slow and the waiter mumbled so most of what he said... More

Our first stop for Restaurant Week. Overall I like this place and will return. The ambience is nice. I especially like the lamps in the restaurant. Settings were closer inside than outside. If the weather is cool, sit outside. First course was heirloom tomatoes gazpacho for me and white bean salad for my dining partner. I love the gazpacho. It... More

We stumbled upon this gem while visiting Madison with friends. It was a lovely evening so we sat outside, with an up-close view of the stunning state capital building. We were warmly welcomed and seated immediately. Service throughout our meal was excellent. The day's menu was innovative but not pretentious, emphasizing local, fresh ingredients and offering enough choices for everyone.... More

This is well rated and they can serve both regular diners and large groups. Not sure why they get high ratings. Nothings special. Chicken better than other options. Good service. prices good compared to Chicago, but not that a bargain here.

Expecting nothing coming here is probably your best bet. I could hardly even find the place given their sign was only on the door and tiny. It is a "courses" menu. So you choose through the menu in the different course options. I got The tiny salad. The chicken, must have been steamed or something. And then the ice cream,... More

We hosted 7 people for a graduation dinner, and there were mixed reviews. The swordfish was amazing (3 people ordered it and it was consistent). The bison and beef dishes were on the weak side. Seemed like the entrees were cold and hard to cut. Prepared to the right temperature, but there was gristle. Service was very good. Wine offering... More

A large group business meeting was the occasion with multiple small group tables. The ambience was very pleasant - this groups of over 30 had taken the entire restaurant which meant there was not too much noise. Garlic and pea soup was fine although a tad tepid. It was well flavored for sure. After that I had the chicken main... More

My bar of expectations for Harvest was high and I left disappointed. Service was mildly attentive (at best) and a bit condescending. We waited 15 minutes to receive our initial wine & beer order and nearly an hour for our main dishes to arrive. While all ingredients were top notch and flavorful, the wait time left some meals mild in... More

We had a fabulous dining experience! The food was beyond amazing and the staff was attentive, respectful, and kind. It started with a delicious amuse bouche and bread and unique cocktails. Three of us shared an appetizer - we couldn't resist wanting to try it. Next, we moved on to a fabulous entree (one of us was gluten free and... More
