We had time only for a quick lunch so we stopped in here as it was close to the hospital. We basically ordered as quickly as we could, so we didn't peruse the whole menu. Fried pork dumplings and chicken fried rice is what popped out so that is what we ordered. The dumplings were well executed. No heavy dough... More

I've been to Dumpling Haus numerous times as it's near my office. I've enjoyed everything I've tried. I only wish they had some kind of nice little side salad (marinated sprouts, cuke salad, etc) to round out your meal. If you order only dumplings, you may feel like you want a little more 'something' but if you order two selections,... More

Our noodle bowls and dumplings were sooo good. It was kind of hidden so it was good they had a chalk board sign on the sidewalk. It was very busy and we didn't know what to do at first but the person taking orders was very helpful. All of our food was delicious. We finished off the meal with custard... More

I was skeptical when my mom suggested an Asian restaurant inside Hilldale Mall, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dumpling Haus is a casual restaurant but the food is far from. The quality is a huge step up from standard Chinese takeout, which also means you'll pay a bit more. As one man wrote in his review, no one brought water... More

I was hoping for more of a dim sum experience, but pretty much all boiled dumplings, taste and texture pretty much all the same...had the shrimp, soup dumplings and one of the pork ones which tasted just like the soup one. The peanut noodles were the highlight. Loved the texture of the noodles.

Visited this place about 3 times during our stay in Madison. My wife loves soups and this place offers great selection in noodle soups. Ambiance is good and restaurant has an open kitchen, which is nice. We tried all the dumplings and soup and liked everything we ordered. It may not be the best Chinese food I have eaten, but... The Dumpling Haus is our FAVORITE restaurant and our favorite item on the menu is the Pork Haus Soup!! This delicious broth soup with noodles comes with pork pieces on the bone that just fall off when you take a bite. The flavor of the broth is our favorite part. It is a big bowl and we can never finish... More

Cool white modern space, seems to be a family operation. The place is abuzz with movement, the soups are rich and delicious, I had the pork with a rich broth base. Pot stickers are some of the best I have ever had, I went old school pork, you can have them fried or steamed. Portions are big so come hungry,... More

Upon telling the server behind the counter that I was very hungry, and I wanted a full meal, it was suggested to me that I should purchase a plate of pot stickers for 9 dollars. I assumed that this "meal" would come with rice, or at least one side. I was very disappointed when my plate arrived with 8 pot... More

The Dumpling Haus is the only place for dim sum in Madison, but wish it was better. It's not nearly as good as it could be. That said there are some good and fresh noodle choices worth trying.
