The outdoors setting is pleasant. I had a "corn Caesar salad." It had lettuce, garlicky croutons and a tablespoon or so of canned corn. Not very good. My nephew had "poutine." He said it was "pretty good." It had nice fries, heavy gravy, and huge glob of cheese covering the entire dish. The cheese was one piece and would not... More

Love this place! One of my favorite go-to's for a casual date night, or place to meet friends. Delicious, well crafted cocktails & food! Casual, yet cool. Great location, food & decor!!

Ran into this tavern when it began to pour down on the farmers market.... It was packed but the bloodies were good and the atmosphere was lively. Cute place!

Coopers is a story of two taverns. In the evening, and on most weekdays, is a very good restaurant. I've been there many times, and I'm pretty sure I've eaten most of the menu. The croquettes and frites are excellent. Any burger or sandwich is going to be several cuts above average. The brunch food is better than excellent. Any... More

I had salmon with Brussels sprouts and bacon , and it was fantastic! You might think you don't like Brussels sprouts - but you will like these! My husband had mussels which he said were also great. Very large beer list. You can dine outside right across from the capitol. Outside dining is at long picnic-type table, so you might... More

We had drinks and apps while out sight seeing. It was a great spot to rest and people watch. We had a terrific waitress who joked with us and gave us a few suggestions on what else to see on our visit.

We showed up about six on a Friday night, fully expecting a wait, but were immediately swept off to a cozy table at the bar. The beer menu was pretty extensive, tho they didn't have my hubby's standby (High Life). It was nice that the waitress was so good-natured about it, said she would check, and helped him choose a... The views of the Capitol Building at Coopers Tavern, especially if you are upstairs, are amazing! But that's pretty much where it stops. We were here on a Sunday night with a large group of people. For starters, we had Amy's salad, which is fresh spinach topped with a balsamic vinaigrette, brandied cranberries, candied walnuts, pears, apples, and fried goat... More

Hit: Great burgers, fries, homemade sauces, location; Miss: Poor wine selection, tiny and expensive beer pours, mediocre food beyond burgers. Would NOT go back when Old Fashioned and Graze are also on the square and FAR better value for money

Have been to Coopers several times and appreciate the long beer list and the comfort food. The pork belly Mac and cheese is totally satisfying and delicious. Fish fry was also excellent. Very helpful staff. Noisy for a reason - always busy.
