Enjoyed a nice evening with outside seating and view of the capital. Glad to have been outside--inside was really noisy. Food was pretty good but nothing special. Service was ok.

I had heard some good things about Coopers Tavern, so I was looking forward to trying it. It can be hard to get into since they do not take reservations and there is not much seating. We finally got in on a Tuesday evening about...More

Even though they were busy we had an amazing chicken pot pie, chicken sandwich and a burger all with a cold glass of tap beer at the bar. Great time! Frankweber author.com

We sat outside on a beautiful night for drinks and appetizers and very much enjoyed the food and ambiance. Good, central location in Madison, especially if you want to walk around after you eat.

Coopers Tavern has a nice selection of interesting entrees and appetizers. The glass of wine was a bit expensive though.

Popped in for a beer so ate bar snacks until 5 pm when they start offering their dinner menu. The beer and choice is very good, the food menu looks good but was disappointing. Colleague had a Reuben and the meat was dry, my fish...More

Nice beer selection, good bar, varied menu, and both inside and outside (in good weather) seating. Comfortable and service was good.

The curds were okay. Not at all greasy but lacking a little in flavor. I'm not a big ranch dressing fan, but that did help. Also had the mussels. Tender and well cleaned, but again a little underseasoned. There were several that couldn't safely be...More

This was a decent place to have a bite to eat for dinner. The food was quite good and the atmosphere was nice. My only gripe would be the service. It was crowded, but our waitress seemed to rush us and looked annoyed when we...More

So many choices around the Capital Square you should just keep walking and choose another restaurant. We went for Sunday brunch. I chose the salad with brussel sprouts and bacon and asked the waiter what he thought. "So Good" is what he said! The salad...More

We've never really spent a lot of time in Madison. We're here for the weekend and we want to watch the Italy v Germany soccer match this afternoon. We're looking for a soccer friendly place that shows the games with the volume turned up and with soccer fans...and of course some good food and beverages. Is this a good spot for that??

Unfortunately there isn't many places where to watch soccer, unless it's a world wide event or and ethnic bar.
