We went to this out of the way tavern because of a coupon and we are glad we did. It was Saturday and the special was a huge, melt in your mouth prime rib dinner. The salad was even impressive with great veggies. Their beer selection was also very good. A great neighborhood tavern. We will go back.

I have heard wonderful things about Laurel Tavern but at 7pm on a Tuesday they had no hamburgers and had run out of plates. I ordered a beer and brat and she forgot the beer. Service was very slow. Seems like it could be a fun place but there are lots of good places in Madison.

The service at the bar was terrible. We felt like we were a major inconvenience to them-at least two or three bartenders passed us by. Dining area very crowded/cramped. Server was okay. The server did not check in on us during the meal period, only checked back to set the bill down.

We came for the Friday fish fry and it is one of the best. We had fried walleye. They also had baked or fried cod. Very busy place. We had a short wait at the bar. Efficient and friendly staff fly around but make sure everyone's happy. Nice salad and potato choices. Bun could've been better.....was on dry side.

We treated our family to Prime Rib and it was over the top delicious! The Brandy Old Fashtions were very good, but I thought a little pricey for a tavern. We will come back for Prime Rib again! Our waitress was awesome! Prime Rib is served on Saturday starting at 5pm. You may want to check with them to make... More

The food was very reasonable but not very good. The drinks were also very disappointing. My cousin did not like her old fashioned. Hard to mess up a vodka cranberry, but they did. Maybe just stick with beer if you go. The jalapeño poppers were good, but a small portion. I don't think I'd go back other than maybe for... More

Our Friday night fish fry was very good. The lightly fried Walleye was fresh, flaky and cooked perfectly. We began with a savory clam chowder with ample clams, potatoes, celery. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. There is a long bar upon entering and a somewhat small dining area with tall tables, regular tables and booths. Good selection of draft... More

We all enjoyed the wonderful "bar" grilled food. Great cozy and unrushed atmosphere so a great place to go with friends and relax.

We were told to get there a bit early for the Friday fish fry and it was a good recommendation. Not all you can eat fish, but enough to satisfy. The best part was they allowed me to substitute an extra salad for potato and the fish was available fried or baked. Very nice dinner with friends. We’ll be back.

We got there early (5:00 p.m.) on a recent Tuesday night and had beer and nachos before we ordered our entrees. The waitress let us take our time until we ordered and checked back in for beer refills. When we finally ordered our entrees, they came piping hot and quickly. My Brewmaster burger was delicious and cooked exactly as I'd... More
