Cortez Colorado must be quite a place when a restaurant like J. Fargo's is thirteenth in the ratings! We arrived around 8PM on a recent Friday night and had two superb burgers. Service was good, the "nutty brown" ale was good, and the peach cobbler...was great (not syrupy sweet). I can recommend wholeheartedly.More

My wife and I went here for an early dinner today. The meal was Amber Ale, white cheddar poblano soup, ribs, chicken fried steak, and cheesecake wrap for dessert. We took the dessert back to our room. It’s cheesecake wrapped in a tortilla, fried to...golden brown, rolled in sugar and cinnamon, topped off with a raspberry drizzle and served with vanilla ice cream. Everything was very good. My wife had the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and I had the ribs with a South Carolina sauce. Our waitress was very friendly and most accommodating. She made sure we were happy with our meal and experience. Today - that means something.More

My wife and I had an early dinner here. We ordered the special, prime rib with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The meat was as tough as an old boot, the vegetables amounted to a tiny portion, enough to be a garnish, but the potatoes were...okay. I ordered an IPA beer. It came in a plastic cup. The waitress explained it was because it was happy hour. The draft beer was sour and stale. I returned it. My wife ordered a Merlot and it tasted like the bottle had been open for a long time. A very disappointing experience.More

Unlike some of the other reviews we had no problems with service. We were seated quickly, order taken, and food delivered as expected. I had a brisket sandwich and my wife had a avacoda salad - both were excellent.

Despite a sign at the front that was a little offensive to those who take Covid seriously, everyone and everything was wonderful! The staff was welcoming, the food was great, and the service was awesome!

We are somewhat of beer snobs and the beer here was unpalatable. We ended up drinking a Guinness instead. We did not order any food.

It needs to be mentioned that this restaurant, like so many others during our trip, were experiencing a staff shortage. So I understand that never aspect of our dining experience was going to be perfect. That aside it did take us over 45 mins to...be seated. Then there was an extended wait on about every part of our meal. However, the food was good, the staff stayed upbeat, and the service was great. They offered a wide range of items on their menu so there's certainly something that everyone will eat. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.More

Waited 1 hr 20 Min for our food to arrive. Food was cold. One of the stakes came as a half size. They asked if the plates can be take back to be warmed up. Yeah. After all day of hiking with hungry kids waiting...for their meal, it’s all we wanted to do- eat more! Pizza came hot. Yay! It looked like they were very understaffed. I would not recommend.More

Regardless of the post COVID situation many restaurant owners find themselves in, this place went above and beyond to keep customers happy. Although the delivery of food took longer due to the post COVID challenges, the food and beer were fantastic. I absolutely would support...this place again for the food and for their willingness to keep moving forward to keep the small business owneR DREAM alive in the USA!More

They almost forgot about us and we were waiting for over 30 minutes. The manager made it right and got us a table right away. They were understaffed, but understandable due to the Holiday and just being short staffed everywhere, but the food was not...good at all. It tasted frozen and came out very fast. The veggies were over-seasoned. I would not recommend eating here again.More
