Thought we would try this place, it is good for a salad, the staff are friendly, not very busy and it is a clean place. I ordered the Chile Burger and was surprised that it has zero chile on it. They have a bun and put a good size burger patty on it, then a splash of Green Chile Salsa... More

My burger was a bit overcooked but the Chicken fried steak was HUGE and amazing. Great fries. Decently priced (about $3 cheaper than J Fargos but the quality was also a bit lower). I did see the waitress/owner fix a lemon iced tea for a patron by going into the kitchen and using her hand grab a lemon slice out... More

Every time we visit Cortez, we swing by Jack and Janelle's for breakfast. We never regret it. The grits and biscuits are tasty.

I have eaten here on a handful of occasions. I won't be back. Food is not good. I am honestly amazed it is still in business. The last time I went, I ordered barbecued beef. It was basically inedible and covered in a very sweet and acidic sauce that made me sick for hours. Staff was always friendly though. I... More

Sadly, I only ate here once, but that was more than enough. The corn on the cob tasted like freezer burn, the salad dressing tasted canned.

Not the best first impression, but good family style dinner. Our booth cushions were sadly thin ans a little uncomfortable. However, the meal was fine and ample portions Real family style setting, good for kids.

Great hometown family diner. Food was awesome, and so was the service. From the owner to the waitress, these folks really made us feel at home and showed their appreciation for our business. Looking forward to dining here again the next time we visit Mesa Verde NP!

Next to our lodge, a very friendly owner (who speaks some Frewnch!) and just the kind of breakfast we like, good eggs/sausage/hash browns. We enjoyed it!
