Our son was married in Hot Springs this weekend. We had a very large group (125) for the rehearsal dinner, and our son requested McClard's BBQ, which we have enjoyed for years. I worked with Scott McClard to arrange for ribs, brisket and chopped pork sliders. Scott was wonderful in arranging for everything we needed...and the BBQ was fabulous. About... More

I have eaten here many, many times over the years and still have not found BBQ anywhere else that can beat McClard's. The tamales, brisket and cole slaw are my favorites and this is usually what I order. This trip, we had the beef sandwiches and cole slaw. Very good food and great service. You may have to wait a... With the reviews this place has received I expected something special, but we were not impressed. We have had better BBQ at many places, and one is in Hot Springs, Stubby's. The ribs were average, the beans were marginal and mushy, the coleslaw was pretty good, sweet tea was excellent, the tamales sucked as they are not your traditional tamales... More

While visiting Hot Springs, we had lunch at the "world famous" MCClard's. It was a very cool looking, old place. Honestly, the food was just ok. BBQ sauce was different and spicy. Chopped pork was ok, fries were very homemade and potatoey. Beans were unlike anything I've ever had at a BBQ place. They tasted just like the inside of... More

Basically a fast food BBQ joint. Atmosphere is early 80's Dairy Queen, ( plastic laminate booths). Pulled pork and beef were average at best, wanted to try the ribs but they were very pricy ($15 for a half rack). Everything is ala cart. Restrooms are outside like a 70's gas station.

I heard about this place and planned to have lunch while we came to Hot Springs to visit the national park and spa. Heard that it was Bill Clinton's favorite BBQ joint and with a quote from F. Murray Abraham on their website, how can you not stop by? My husband ordered half a tamale plate (heard that it was... More

Not as good as I had hoped but still enjoyed it. My mother and I split a half order of the covered tamales and a chopped sandwich. The tamales are definitely a unique dish and pretty good if you like Frito chili pie. The chopped sandwich was okay too. Not quite enough sauce for my liking but their signature sauce... More
