We have tried ALL of the breakfast restaurants in Hot Springs and we keep coming back to Colonial. The food is consistently good, and the waitresses all work hard to get your order right and out to you quickly. It is what you think of when you think of a small town Americana restaurant. Small, not pretentious, and clean. The... More

The waffles were great, portion size of every thing was good. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The menu is extensive and I had a hard time deciding what to get from the many options.

While The Pancake Shop may be a little more well know, it doesn't hold a fork compared to Colonial. You can get the buckwheat pancakes and so much more. If you can think of it, it's probably on the menu and definitely delicious. Don't miss this place!

The Colonial is the original restaurant it was many decades ago with quaint booths and tables in a small intimate hometown setting on the main street/Central. The staff were all friendly and made you feel at home. They were quick with the coffee but it took quite a while to get our food since they were very busy during morning... More

We had eggs meat and waffles. It was inexpensive and yummy. The pancake shop is across the street but the line was crowding the sidewalk. We walked right in and sat down at the Colonial

Overpriced with small portions. Typical greasy spoon food. If you're looking for a healthy, diabetic friendly breakfast this isn't it. My husband had an omelet, for $8 it was small and didn't fill him up. I ate the toast and a small bowl of grits. Coffee was great, and the waitress was really nice and prompt too. Crowded and cramped,... More

Had been here almost 20 years ago and loved it. Told everyone about it. Got a chance to return and bring my husband. We went twice! Best blueberry pancakes he'd ever tasted. Biscuits like fluffy clouds. Delicious scramble. Excellent coffee. Love the local sausage. Friendly, attentive service. Can not say enough wonderful things about this place! Will definitely be returning... More

Everything was wonderful! Only complaint I have is about the pancakes. They were cold when they came out & the server took them in the back to "throw them in the microwave". Although I was less than thrilled about that, everything else was so delicious that I can let the pancakes slide!

Thank Brandi S
