The food was good & the service was okay, but the real appeal of this place was the huge selection of beer, including a nice variety of local brews. I probably won't return, as there are so many great places to eat in Hot Springs,...but I can absolutely recommend this place just on the strength of their beer menu.More

Apparently two different waiters were having an argument and they kept coming to our table telling us to order from them and not the other one. Repeatedly and then one would get upset with us when we would order from whomever came to our table...to take our order. I finally had to tell them to sort it out behind the scenes as it wasn't my job to determine who had what table. Very weird. Pizza was great and very convenient location.More

We always get a pizza from here. It's in a convenient location. You just have to keep an eye out for it because you just might miss it. After a day of strolling the beautiful downtown, heading to the parking garage, we go put our...order in. Unfortunately there's steps to climb to place order. Do yourself a favor and try it! We keep going back EVERY time we visit Hot Springs.More

One of the highlight lunches of our 3 day trip to the area!!! We ordered the Casey Jones gluten free pizza. It was one of the best gluten free pizzas we have eaten. The flavors were paired nicely together. The barbecue flavor was not too...strong but just right. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful on what ciders available plus she suggested the cream soda which was so good! The atmosphere was nice in the upper patio area. This restaurant is in close proximity to Bathhouse Row! You will want to eat here!!More

Five of us had an early dinner in the beer garden on April 14, 2021. Our pleasant experience actually began earlier in the day when I called for reservations. When I asked whether reservations were necessary for 5:30 on a Wednesday afternoon, the young man...who answered the phone "spitballed a server" to discover we could come on without reservations. Then he added, "We look forward to seeing you." That's a nice, friendly touch that actually sounded genuine. Our server, Carmen, AKA "coo coo for Carmen puffs," was sensational. She attended to our needs quickly and efficiently, and she even kept us from ordering too much food with some excellent suggestions. After starting with some delectable Cheese Styx, we wound up ordering a small Tree Hugger (for those of us who actually like meatless pizzas) and a large 1/2 Pig Pen and 1/2 Dire Wolf (for those of us who are normal). By all accounts (I didn't actually sample the Tree Hugger), the pizza was excellent. Although I'm a strong aficionado of thin, crispy crusts, I didn't even mind the tasty hand-tossed crust. Drinks are the sole reason this wonderful restaurant moves down from excellent to very good. The mixed drinks were okay but significantly overpriced. And although Grateful Head calls itself a "Pizza Oven and Tap Room," only two beers and one cider actually were on tap. That was beyond disappointing. They did have a nice selection of bottled and canned microbrews, but one expects beers on tap in a tap room. After lowering our expectations for beers on tap, we certainly would return simply for the pizza and because of the friendly tenor of the establishment. We tend to avoid downtown restaurants because of the parking hassle, but Grateful Head might be worth the trouble.More

We saw the sign for this place as we walked Bathhouse Row and stopped in when we found we had stayed out too late and needed to eat (Hot Springs rolls up the sidewalks quite early, so be advised). There are serious stairs to climb...to get to the place and they aren't level or standard height, so be careful and use the hand rails. The food is amazing. Every single thing was tasty as could be. We took the few leftovers we had back with us. Don't expect many... the unique flavors and well-proportioned sizes are an unexpected plus! We ate outdoors in beautiful and scenic seating, though there are indoor seats to be had. Ask if you can set in the little iron-fenced area at the top of the hill... it is BEAUTIFUL up there. Yes, they play music. No worries, though. The volume was low and we were able to have normal conversation while eating. (PS: appetizers, drinks, dinner, deserts, you can get it all at Grateful Head.)More

As a New Yorker transplanted in the Midwest, I’m a pizza snob. I didn’t expect good pizza in Arkansas of all places, but this was really good. And. The service was dood too. We ate outside which is nice and my first choice during a...pandemic, but by this time in mid-spring it’s easy to spruce up, hose down, and weed the outdoor area. It felt dirty and buggy, and made me itchy. Otherwise, it was pizza done right. Bring bug spray!More

Staff wasn’t wearing masks - we turned around and left. Leaving this review so maybe I can save someone else a trip.

Great pizza, an extensive list of beers, and outdoor seating on a nice patio. Pizza has nice crust, neither thin or thick. Many beers from Germany, France, Belgium etc. Dogs welcome and they play good music. We ate here twice in a one-week stay. Highly...recommend and we will eat here again on any future visit. Nice downtown location just a few steps from getting back on a hiking trail.More

We happened to get there during their lunch rush and it appeared they were short-staffed. There were some problems getting us seated, I think just because it was chaotic. It took almost 20 minutes to get sat when we were told it would take 10...minutes. The manager wasn't writing anything down and just voiced this to us. About 10 minutes into our wait, a man came into work, grabbed a tablet and started putting new people on a waiting list. When he came out to us and 2 other groups that had been waiting, we told him we'd already been waiting for a while, and he still asked if he could put us on the wait list. I asked him if we would still be put behind the people who had just come in and haven't had to wait yet. He looked at me confused. Fortunately the group next to us got the manager's attention and asked when we're all going to be seated and she got us sat pretty quickly after that. We aren't drinking alcohol currently so I can't say anything for the beer, but the pizza was really good! The atmosphere was great. Our service was pretty slow, but my wife and I both used to serve and we just took everything up to getting there at a bad time and them being short-staffed for some reason or other. What made them stand out was the servers and managers stayed friendly the whole time, were bustling the whole time, and got everything out that we asked for, whether it took some time or not. I even asked our server for an ice cream place she would recommend, and she excitedly told me to go to Kilwin's. We will definitely be coming back next time we visit Hot Springs! I'm sure the craziness was a fluke and not typical.More

Yes, they have vegan cheese available for a slight up-charge. $1.78 for vegan cheese on a small pizza and $3.00 for a large.

Unfortunately, the restaurant itself is not wheelchair accessible because like many others said, it's located on the side of a hill up 2 flights of stairs. The restaurant is connected to the bar below and offers carryout... More
