We recently visited the Hoover Library and a worker there recommended this café. Although the menu was short, it had plenty of variety to satisfy both of us. We were not disappointed in the food, it was wonderful. The gentleman running the place was not very friendly at first but by the end of the visit we were able to... More

After exploring the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, I popped in the coffee shop for an early lunch. The cafe offers tasty, home-cooked, moderately-priced lunches. The daily menu is posted on a chalkboard, and on the day of my visit included among other items: quiche; roast beef, portabella mushroom, and provolone cheese sandwich; pulled pork; and clam chowder. The cafe... More

Very good local cafe. Not large portions but enough as it was fresh ingredients and quite tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly.

We stopped here for lunch before going to Herbert Hoover. The food was good. My husband and I liked our food. The kids 4yrs and 7yrs didn't really care much for it. I wouldn't say this is a very kid friendly place. We have been to many places like this that do though so we were a bit thrown off.... More

This very cute small breakfast and lunch spot seems to be a favorite of locals as well as visitors to the Herbert Hoover National Monument. There are several daily specials--all sounded good. My wrap was excellent as was the soup of the day, cheddar broccoli. Small town hospitality was just what we wanted.

The food was good and it was convenient to the Hoover historical site. The staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful.

Small daily menu, fresh food and excellent service. I had the broccoli, mushroom, cheese quiche with an apple and grape salad. Hubs had a bbq pork/cold slaw wrap with split pea soup. Both meals were under $10. Simple and yummy. The restaurant is around the block from Hoover ' s Presidential Library.

A very special place! It is around the corner from the Herbert Hoover Museum, another great place. I had a Quiche made by Jonathan. It is small, down-home, but perfect for the area. Also had a apple pie which had great crust and great topping. Visit the NPS of Hoover as well.

Stopped there on the last leg of a long vacation trip. This is a very small shop tucked away in a small town. There is no menu everything being served for the day is written on a board when you walk in the door. I'm pretty sure the meals change from day to day so recommending a favorite is pretty... More

Stopped in West Branch on a whim to see the Hoover birthplace, stayed through lunch. Stopped in Reid's Beans to get coffee and discovered they serve gourmet lunch. They have quiche everyday, and it was delicious!! My youngest couldn't find anything in the menu (it only has about 5 choices) but the owner whipped her up a chicken and cheese... More
