Last night we had a wonderful evening at the Santai warung, just down the road from the Taman Sari resort. We were given a warm welcome by Made and Gustut and ate beautiful authentic Balinese food at very inexpensive prices. Drivers from a local dormitory were singing and playing guitars and invited guests to join in. It was like having... More

Staff were nice and friendly with good English. Food was tasty except the fish was over cooked like most Warungs in Bali. Will be back

A little bit hidden on a by-road is this beautiful small restaurant. Sitting in a small nice garden area you'll get authentic and very good Balinese meals.

We loved this Warung! Beside the super tasty fresh food for low prices you will experience a warm family atmosphere, guitar music and even sometimes magic tricks from the owner. The location is quite and shady. Thank you Made, Gustut and helpers for many wonderful evenings!!

After a couple of failed attempts to find delicious and inexpensive Indonesian food in various hotel restaurants nearby, we were recommended to try Warung Santai. The food here is simply fantastic - flavoursome, nourishing and inexpensive by any standard. Made, the owner, runs cooking classes in the restaurant during the day. We took a private lesson and then sat down... More

If you want to save money and eat better than in the local hotels go there. Fresh fish everyday. Great value for money. We were there with our 20 months baby and has they saw that it was difficult to occupy her they picked her up and showed her around so we could eat with tranquility ;-) highly recommended

Walking home in the pouring rain we decided to duck in here for a quick beer, we ended up staying for dinner as the weather was so bad. The meals are cheap and tasty, the place has a nice comfy feel to it, there is even some guitars and bongos to have a little jam on. My only complaint was... More

We went there several times and it was not for being close to our Hotel (Taman Sari), because we rented a car. The food is delicious, fresh ingredients, cooked at the moment. Made and Ida Bagus were the perfect hosts. Relaxed environment and friendly people. Great price.

We went here because of the location (near our hotel) and the reviews on TA. The worst food we've had on our recent holiday, tasteless and without inspiration. The whole week there were almost no guests at this restaurant so I like to believe that we were not the only ones with a negative experience..
