We got something else than was written in food description. When we asked we were lied to us. Later we discovered that they didnt have ingredients. They must think we are so stupid.. It also took forever..

It's worth taking a few steps back off the beach to find Mangalla, a long established family-run restaurant in Padangbai. This is a port town catering for divers and transit passengers to Lombok. All the action seems to happen along the beach, including increasing numbers of restaurants catering to young western tourists. However just back a block on Jl Silayukti,... More

We ordered a "chicken hot pan" which turned out to be 4 pieces of sliced chicken in à normal plate (not à hot pan): litterally, you could count it. We asked for à little more and got 7 pieces total, wouhou ! This mixed with potatoes as if it was more chicken.. We complained to the manager, saying that the... More

This place on our visit was being run by youngsters without leadership and seemed not to care about their customers. We ate twenty five minutes after each other. Tatsziki was unedible made with lashings of sugar, the vegetable salad had alot of pineapple in (yuk) and the seafood kebab also ok but the two prawns were all head no body!.... More

put a little away from the beach, up the road to the town, but worth visiting. Very good fod and a allways smiling staff. We only eat their indonesian dishes, so we cant comment on pizzas etc. But they are very tasty.

We came to eat here on a recommendation from friends. However, we very nearly left before ordering because of the lack of wine. It really shouldn't be too hard for restaurants to keep a couple of bottles of half-decent red and white on hand, even in low season. Padangbai Restaurants take note: this is a major issue for those of... More

We had some food here in between/ after dives with Paradise Diving. It's good though not extraordinary (Nasi Campur, Cap Cay, Saté).

As a solo traveller I found this place very welcoming. The owner was chatting to me as I sat in the front cabana-type area on a cushion and just chilled out having a few drinks prior to ordering a spaghetti bolognese which was quite yummy. The band over the road was playing and the singer can't actually sing, but it... More

We have been visiting Manggala for about four years now and been greeted by Mr Friday and his family with smiles and good natured jokes. The food is consistently good and tasty - we especially like their barbeque platters - fresh fish or chicken grilled in healthy oils. The sambal matah - a Balinese spicy salad with onion, chillies and... More
