Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The staff has the right kind if attitude to make it modern but not unfriendly, cheeky with a smile. I loved it! The food is outstanding Asian fusion with a twist. The decor, fabulous! Yes, it’s not cheap but, you pay for...More

Great modern Asian food, it is definitely worthy of the hype. We had a few different dishes including pork and prawn spring rolls, dumplings, pork knuckle and crispy chicken rice paper rolls. Make sure you book, we just walked in on a Saturday and had...More

We had a meal here last week and I was disappointed. The food was expensive and the serving sizes were probably the smallest we have had in Bali. The food tasted good - but nothing I would describe as spectacular.

Food portions were small and of average quality. Service wasn’t too great either - much better restaurants around.

Every time we come to Bali we must visit Mamasan. They are super cool with impeccable service and good quality cocktails. The starters are best to share. We always over order but can’t help ourselves. Lots of lemongrass, lime and chili used to create amazing...More

To set the scene we had no booking, had just left a massage to torrential rain and a short but very wet walk to Mamasan! From the moment we arrived we were handed towlets to dry off a tad, then apologised to for no tables...More

Dear Brendan, What can we reply when you say "The only problem we could find with Mamasan was that too many of the dishes looked or sounded incredible". We sincerely thank you for encouraging guests to visit our restaurant ! All the best, Mama

Food and service was top notch. Marsala chicken and Hanoi fish....super yum!! Cocktails fantastic(Moscow mule). Only issue was pretty warm for a table near the entrance door where we were seated otherwise amazing experience.

Dear chanp2019, We will pay attention to the confort of our forthcoming guests, when seating near to the entrance. We are particularly thankful you mention some of our best sellers (the Hanoi steamed fish and our Malaysian chicken masala). All the best, Mama

Yes but the menu options are not suitable for children as they have lots of spices and chilli. Menu is quite gourmet for the palette. May best check the current menu and perhaps have kids eat first.

Description
At Mamasan you can step into colonial Britain in Shanghai during the 1920s, with marble top mah-jong tables and oversized tan leather chesterfields, in a purpose designed industrial high ceiling warehouse. Gaze up to Mama San in all her glory staring down at patrons while dining and ponder over a travelogue of old style photographs. Colorful displays of retro inspired flowers tower up to vintage clocks and a Chinese patterned mirror. A feature of the ground floor interior are two staircases either side of a service bar that climb a brick wall to the second level.
