We had their 'thali' for lunch and it was tasty and very satisfying. We had a dosa once in the evening while we were strolling in the market, and that too was good. It was always crowded, especially during lunch. A must visit especially if you are a vegetarian.

I visited this restaurant which seems rather ordinary however the was good. Since i was in kerala i wanted to try the local food at it's best. I got to experience it here. The thali comes with rice which is the largest i have seen so far. Accompanied by curries mostly containing coconut. There was sambar and rassam-curd as side... More

We ate lunch here and very much enjoyed the local flavours and selection of dishes. I had a masala dosa for 40p and my husband had the :meal: for 55p. His seemed to have limitless guff as they kept coming to refill his plate which had 5 pickles, 6 other small portions and 3 main courses all very tasty. It... More

Good beg food. We were in search for a good veg joint and our taxi driver suggested this place. Ambiance is normal not luxurious. Good taste and low priced. Its in the main market area. Staff were courteous and attended well. Quality of the food is something that others also need to concentrate. It was a memorable meal.

After a disappointing evening at a LP recommended restaurant, we just walked by this one and decided to try it. It has some street sign but door is recessed from main street so it muffles the standard street noise. Venue wise, the place looks like a cafeteria. Don't think there is a bathroom here, just standard hand-wash station. Staff are... More

OK, so you are reading this because you are reading the reviews. You have read all the reviews on ambience right? It is clean, friendly and although not a 5-star atmosphere, it has brilliant, cheap and tasty food. Furthermore, the place is filled with Indians and not foreigners (always a good sign if you are a foreigner looking for authentic... More

One is always doubtful about places with a bad ambiance, but when you're a strict vegetarian, you have to take your chances. This was one that turned out good for me. The food was somewhere between restaurant like and homely. It struck the perfect match for me, and if you're looking for a modest veg meal in alleppey, I hope... More

The quality of the vegetarian meal was good. But you don't get this for dinner. Plus ambience is very average. Still may be second only to hot dishes (another restaurant in town) as am option to vegetarians. Certainly far better for south Indian veg food than thaff
