Went for brunch with a group of friends and enjoyed a post-wedding day brunch like non-other! The Crab Eggs Benedict is a must try for lovers of crab AND bacon! The crab cake is wrapped in crispy bacon and served on a house made English Muffin! UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!!! The Deviled Egg starter was some of the best deviled eggs I've had;... More

The food here is excellent. Presentation of each dish is very pleasing to the eye and taste and flavor of the food is an experience that you want to savor. Just so you know, it's upscale and pricey, but in this case, you get what you pay for--courteous hosts and servers as well as excellent food. I ordered the panko... More

The restaurant has a lovely decoration, a great bar and even better food. Besides a selection of great creative cocktails, and crab cake nachos as a starter, we tried the Chilean sea bass, sesame crusted ahi tuna and almond crusted flounder and they were all excellent. All portions are quite big, so you should consider sharing appetisers and dessert! All... More

But fortunately it's just as good as it looks. We started with calamari. It's big enough to share for a table for four. Then we had the grouper and flounder. Both were amazing. The the Keylime pie was also amazing. Wonderful restaurant.

While attending a bridge seminar in Greensboro, a local took me to 1618. I understand that it used to be a firehouse! They have done an excellent job of sound-proofing the cavernous facility, however, and the atmosphere is elegant.

Had never been to this restaurant before, but wanted to try it. Made reservations for 4 people about a month prior to Mother's Day. I had the snapper dish as did my mother. Daughter had another fish dish and can't remember what husband had. Service was impeccable. We started out with an oyster appetizer. Everyone loved it. All the main... More

My wife and I were able to get into the restaurant on a busy night .....but that was just luck. To begin with, this is really a seafood restaurant although you can find other options on the menu. The selections are very creative and well prepared. Presentation is outstanding. My wife, the seafood lover, just beamed and raved at the... More

It is often difficult to get a table here, but we were able to walk in on Saturday, June 11th, for cocktails and dinner. The service, cocktails and dinner were all exceptional, as is out experience with 1618 over the last several years. The menu offers a decent range of variety and dish presentations are as impressive as the flavor.... More

George Neal knows seafood. His passion is exhibited in the exquisite presentation f every dish from the first course through dessert. Service is excellent. His restaurant would survive in New York as well as Paris. We are fortunate to have such a talented chef in Greensboro. Jan Pritchett

Daughter and I went here for something different for us. Without a reservation, they did their best to get us in. We ate on the patio, it was very cozy and nice except for a few bugs but that is what you get sometimes dining outside. The wait staff was attentive and very helpful explaining the dishes. We had the... More
