We went here to celebrated my daughter's graduation from Elon University and we had a great dinner. I had the lamb which was amazing. I always hesitate to order lamb because at some restaurants the lamb has a strong aftertaste. This dish was excellent. The lamb was tasty and tender. We started off with shrimp and lobster spring rolls and... More

This was a last minute find on a busy night. The venue is sophisticated and trendy. Not a place for kids or your jeans. Soft she'll crab was overcooked but the rest of the meal was creative and quite good.

The cheese plate appetizer was very good. Nice variety. All three of us had specials. Two had swordfish which they praised. Wife said it was unique. I had a chorizo skewer special. Very good with the chorizo not greasy as it often is in Mexico. Two shared the cheesecake which my wife said was good but not as good as... More

Had dinner with my 97 year old aunt and cousin and his wife. All food was excellent. Three had entrees Swordfish, duck and salmon. I had lamb skewers and spinach salad. My aunt had lobster and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was cooked perfectly. Wine and drink list is extensive. Loved eating here. Even in a large area it felt very... More

We came in for dinner about 8pm on a Thursday night, having selected the restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews. The food and service were outstanding! The menu features imaginative, in many cases locally-sourced, items. The chef is willing to accommodate food allergies. The waitstaff is helpful and attentive. Our food was a wow! Literally, we looked at one another... More

We recently moved to this part of the world and this was our first attempt at a place downtown. Perfect. Maybe a little too much AC.

Lots of folks in Greensboro love this place but it is usually hit or miss for me. Sometimes hit AND miss. Had duck breast there recently that was just wonderful. The accompanying Brussels sprouts were divine. Then came very cold rice pudding that was flavorless with some chewy nuts and some raisins. It was supposed to have some bourbon flavor... More

We celebrated my fathers retirement at Undercurrent this week. With a diverse group of tastes represented at the table, all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Great atmosphere and great cuisine. I highly recommend Undercurrent for a special occasion.

Excellent American cuisine with French underpinnings, Undercurrent was a refined, civilized, and relaxing dining experience in downtown Greensboro. The restaurant's interior was quiet and peaceful, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. I started with an appetizer of their fried oyster salad (the waitress said the oysters came from the Virginia side of Chesapeake Bay) and these little babes were... More
