My vote for best all-around restaurant in Greensboro. A beautiful room, good service, and reliably excellent food. Some "fine dining" spots try too hard; others are uninspired or stuck in the past. Undercurrent uses fresh, high-quality ingredients and prepares them with love and respect. What's...not to love?More

My husband and I have just moved to GSO after living overseas for 15 years. We’ve been sampling the local cuisine and hands down, tonight’s dinner at Undercurrent has succeeded all other local meals and even compares to meals throughout Europe. We started with the...Spring Rolls, followed by Scallops (my meal) and Duck for my husband. Both were DELICIOUS and prepared and served to perfection. Looking forward to a return visit - maybe their brunch on Sunday. Still smiling!More

Having done over 3000 reviews I rarely give 3 stars when I am in a restaurant that has so many good reviews. However ...sometimes the ratings don’t match the offering. Specifically: 1) Vegetarian options are actually very very limited .....so what is online is actually...misleading. 2) Waiter removed one of the plates before it was finished and as he had put another plate on top of it before he even asked if we were finished we did not want it back. 3) The cheese plate was questionable and we received different answers on the types of cheese from three different staff members. Guess work is unacceptable when it comes to allergies as one of my party was allergic to goats cheese. 4) Portion sizes on main course relatively small. 5) Wines good. 6) Ambiance good. 7) However overall not happy as every staff member was “rushed”. Sorry - but this was disappointing for us.More

Undercurrent is our number one choice for a Greensboro date night! The food and service are impeccible each and every time. I love everything theyve ever done to a scallop or salmon! My partner loves the steak each time. The menu is always changing, and...we are always finding new combinations we love!More

Undercurrent is an extremely elegant restaurant with a very attentive wait staff. Our server constantly checked on us throughout our meal, and was very knowledgeable of the menu and specialty items. The food was somewhat hit or miss. The cheese board and cocktails were very good,...but the steak could be improved. If you're interested in a romantic dinner, I would definitely recommend Undercurrent.More

Our family chose Undercurrent for a birthday celebration and what a great choice!! The food was well-prepared and the presentation of every dish was artful. The service was second to none. Daniel, our server, was attentive, fun, and focused on providing an experience for us....This will be one of our top places for special events inGSO.More

First time here and we can’t believe that we haven’t come sooner. Overall an excellent experience that we are sure to repeat. We both had the angus ribeye as our main and the scotch okra as an starter. Portion size, quality, and taste were just...perfect. Our waiter couldn’t have been more helpful and fun which made our time there even more enjoyable. The desserts were on par with the main, lemon chess pie and the chocolava for us. Try the sake blossom as a nice smooth drink that will set up nicely with your meal. We will definitely be back.More

My wife had the Skillet seared Salmon with mushrooms, which was fantastic. I'm not sure whether it was wild caught.

No dress code, really. It is an up-scale place to eat, but my wife and I see diners in shorts and even t-shirts fairly regularly !! I would say slacks and a decent shirt would be most appropriate.
