Had not been back since it changed hands, found the prices had gone up but the quality of the food has remained the same. Great Veal and fish dishes, large portions(you can split them 6.99extra) Wife had the Halibut and said it was excellent and I had the Veal and it was also very good. Only negative was the Caesar salad and the lettuce did not have a fresh taste, also had to pay extra for anchovies which was a new experience. Wine list was good and priced fairly. Service was excellent. This is a small restaurant and it can get crowded.

I have to admit I was way skeptical when my husband suggested this place. Italian in NC? In a strip mall? As a northeast girl, we take our food seriously and boy was I wrong as this place does as well! The variety and quality made us feel like we were home, minus the southern accent of our waiter :-)
We had the escargot and mussels, ate way too much of the fresh delicious bread, and then entrees, which were delicious. I had a fish special and he had a steak special. That with a great bottle of wine and we had a fantastic dinner for our date night.
On COVID they were great, tables spaced, masks on, felt completely comfortable.
Give it a try, you will love it!

We have eaten here over 10 times and this continues to be our favorite Italian restaurant in Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem. They can also make accommodations for large families, I think we had as many as 17 at one time.
My favorite dishes are the veal saltimbocca and any of their fresh fish dishes.

Honestly, we have been to Italy, we have had wonderful food, but this little restaurant beats everything. The Chef is a master, the fettuccine Alfredo is a taste of heaven on earth and the seafood dishes are simply amazing. We were here for my husband's birthday and they were so accommodating, Kevin our waiter was superb, but based on what we could see all the wait staff was just as top notch. I cannot stress enough that you should make the trip to this a little out of the way unassuming restaurant, we are from Winston which isn't far but still this place is worth any drive time. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy truly authentic rich food and very personal service.

The ambience of this place is nice. They work hard to make it an upscale restaurant and it's a lot nicer than you would expect from the little space in the middle of a basic shopping center. Everyone was very nice and the service was good but the food was just so unimpressive. The quality of the food doesn't match anything about this place and it certainly doesn't match the price. I don't mind paying high prices if the food is good but this is high prices for bland food. I'd have to say even Olive Garden is better, and Bravo blows this place out of the water. Even the frozen lasagna from Costco put this place to shame (however they are very good for comparison.) Even the oil they give you for the bread is like plain olive oil with a one or two tiny flecks of some sort of spice. The speghetti was bland, and the salad was equally unimpressive. If this place needs to worry a little less about being uppity and more about producing good food. I'm convinced they are writing their own reviews because they reviews just don't match the food. But the reviews worked though because that's what made us try this place. NY Pizza across the street is a much better choice.

It was my parents 45th wedding anniversary and I wanted to find someplace different and special in Greensboro that they would like. I settled on Salvino‘s because it got great reviews and we wanted Italian. I was not disappointed. Every entrée was exceptional … The service was outstanding …The portion sizes are large, and the pricing is reasonable. My dad is a big eater and he took home leftovers! He’s had his entrée two days in a row for lunch and he still can’t stop raving about how delicious it is even on day three! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Greensboro and craving delicious Italian food.

Very nice dinner with another couple. Enjoyed the food and the quiet atmosphere. The only drawback was that the waiter misunderstood and did not wrap my companion's leftover salmon to take home. He still laments the loss months later!

Pizza was so yummy. piping hot. plenty of items ordered and not skimpy. the pizza cheese was like the old days when it was actually tasty and with flavor. will be visiting again. there were 6 of us and just enough with 2 largest pizza. we had original crust, which is not listed on menu, so ask for it if you don't like thick crusts. thin is not available. friendly service and correct bill. enjoy!

Very accommodating for a large group dinner , for paying by separate cheques, and for high chairs and booster seats for the youngest members of our meeting.
The service was excellent ( Caroline) and the wines well paired. We will come back. Several participants mentioned how they never knew there was a classic Italian eatery like Salvino in Greensboro , they have often passed this Battleground location by.
Many want to return, nobody was unsatisfied.

My burrata appetizer was lovely; but the soup of the day (mushrooms and steak tips) was wonderful. I would have been very happy to have eaten a big bowl of that with some bread (also delicious) for dinner. Dinner was veal scallopini; also a tremendously good dish (but the soup was the best). The triple layer chocolate was marvelous and topping that meal off with a glass of port brought a perfect meal. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again.

Ate at Salvino’s on a Saturday night with friends and had a great meal. We started with bruschetta and it was the best I’ve ever had, and the lobster ravioli for dinner was fabulous. They were short handed that night so the wait times were a little long, but the two servers they did have were working at a furious pace and it was amazing to watch. So if you’re hungry for great Italian look no further than Salvino’s!

Our entire experience was wonderful!
The flavors were authentic & delicious. Our server was so kind and the owner and his wife spent so much time making our family feel welcome and loved. Can’t wait for our next visit!

I took my grandson to Salvino Cucina Italiana as a treat! He ordered Chicken Parmigiana with a Caeser salad. I have not seen such a large platter of food! My grandson did not leave one speck of food on that oval plate! My food was equally amazing, but I took half of mine home because there was plenty. Our only regret was we were too full for dessert.
What added to our dining experience was very definitely our waiter, Chad! He was the best waiter I have ever had. Really on top of everything, pleasant, but not intrusive. Even my teenage grandson was impressed with his service!

Wow! Great food. In town for a sporting event and was looking for a local Italian restaurant. I was a little worried about a restaurant in a strip mall, but you pull the curtain back (literally) and reveal a beautiful restaurant and bar. I had a seafood dish, huge shrimp and tasty. My sons had chicken parm and salad, all delicious nd friendly service.

We took a group of 19 people. I had made a reservation weeks in advance and worked with Christina on our menu and dinner. We were greeted at the Door like old friends by Christina and Mary. The private room is great, I didn't see the rest of the restaurant. Drinks, food and atmosphere was terrific. A real gem for Italian food in Greensboro!
