The host was so kind to open just for us on a public holiday. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The dining area was decorated with family heirlooms. The food was fantastic, real Dutch home cooking, and made with love.

Wow, we're so happy you had a good experience. Reviews like yours make it all worth while for us.
Wow what an amazing experience. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitable reception. The owners Rene and Mary ann took pride in personally preparing our delicious meals for us. The atmosphere is cosy and they made us feel like family. A definite must when you...are in the Yzerfontein area. This experience will not be soon forgotten. Bitterballen, Sole, Butter fish and Rib Eye all done beautifully finished off with Desert which was Apple strudel.More
Have been to Kaijaiki on a couple of occasions over the last few years and it remains an excellent venue. Spent the week before Christmas 2020 there. Quality of food in the restaurant is very good (Rene's skill as a chef adds a fantastic 'homely'...feel), the addition of the coffee shop is a great touch. We stayed in one of the two-bed units, it had been well-cleaned, was very neat and had all the furniture we required for our stay. Although there wasn't a braai facility at the unit a portable braai was supplied at our request. Although we didn't use it this time (it was mid-summer) the fireplace inside the unit is perfect for winter evenings. Great facilities, clean units, four-minute walk to the beach, very accommodating and friendly hosts - Thanks Rene and MariAnne........we'll see you again shortly !More
Beautiful accommodation in Yzerfontein with the loviest hosts and delicious food! We had the best time chatting to René and Mary Anne while they cooked and served our food. Would 100% recommend this accommodation and restaurant!

How lovely for us to read such a heartfelt review. Thanks you so much
What a treat to meet owners René and Mary-Ann Bosch. Their joy for life is definitely what makes Kaijaiki such a success ... and of course Rene's personal touch in the kitchen. No pretence, no frills and fuss. Just good old Dutch hospitality and food....A definite must-do when in YzerfonteinMore

We visited Kaijaiki for one night and what an amazing experience!
Extremely nice people Rene and Mary ann. They make you feel so welcome and as if you're part of the family.
The Bitter ballen were an amazing starter and the mains were an explosion...of flavour in our mouths.
We will definitely be visiting again soon.
