This is more than a diner. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Milk shakes are a must! A must stop near college park.

We went here for breakfast. I had the Philly Steak omelette with fruit and my wife had pancake and eggs. The omelette was hot, fresh and very large. I could hardly eat it all. The fruit was very fresh. My wife's eggs were good well but the pancakes were very dry and needed copious amounts of syrup but then that... More

These silver Diner affairs are very popular with the locals. Everyone and their dog goes there. And there is ALWAY some kind of event going on forcing you to queue up. Don;t despare however, the queue will dissolve quickly and you will be sat up in a booth and served by a happy-go-lucky lady who will tend all your wishes... More

It's ok BUT definitely a chain... Try a local mom and pop diner if you want real diner food! The concept of fresh is ruined when our server told us how the farm fresh food is shipped in bags prepared frozen.

jowebb2015, thanks for the review. I am sorry your server misinformed you. We do get our items fresh and then prepare them in our kitchen. Our ingredients never see the freezer, with the exception of ice cream. I would like to hear more details about your visit, please contact me at communityrelations@silverdiner.com. We hope to see you back again soon,... More

I wish I could give this restaurant 5 stars. We went for breakfast and the food was sooooooo good! My husband is gluten free and they had plenty of items for him. Our three kids (ages 2, 6, 8) LOVED the kid's menu because it came with a cute cardboard truck! They were well entertained until our food came! We... More

Hubbys fish lacked flavor and the fries were cold. I had chicken wings and asked about the sauce the waiter told me that it was very hot I've had him put it on the side and he was right I think God I asked him the question I had the coleslaw which was awesome that my husband had it was... More

Every Mon or Tues that I'm in town, my ex and I head to Silver Diner for breakfast. Their motto is "More than a Diner." And it's a good thing, because the diner parts of the experience -- especially the juke box -- are the worst. The best parts are fresh ingredients, even though the cooking is merely reliable &... I had a free lunch time during a family visit and decided to see what Silver Diner was all about. So glad I did. Liver and onions is something only I enjoy and SD gave me my chance. Excellent quality ingedients and how do they keep everything on the plate hot through the whole meal? Attentive but not cloying service.... More

We stayed in the area again for a visit to the Nats ballpark and ate breakfast here again before driving home. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is excellent. My wife had eggs over medium with crispy bacon, potatoes, and a fresh hot, biscuit. I had eggs benedict and potatoes. Both meals were prepared perfectly and were delicious.... More

Of course, Silver Diner is an institution known for its well prepared breakfasts and salads. This location is no exception but today my only complaint would have been that it took an unreasonably long amount of time for the food to arrive and things like coffee refills were not proffered as quickly as they might have been. On the plus... More
