We have always wanted to try this place but didn’t want to pay the $10.00 to park. We went in for lunch on our anniversary and got the large peel and eat steamed shrimp. We just got a order of garlic bread to eat with it. Did not care for the bread. We were a little worried when they brought out the small kettle with the shrimp in it since it costs about 24.00 for the large order. The shrimp were small ones but they were steamed perfectly and were delicious!! By the time we were done, we each had 25 small shrimp. Our waiter was great, I think his name was Jimbo. Just know when you order this dish, menu is deceiving because the price for the large order is not on the menu. Was an expensive lunch but was delicious and we very much will go back.

We (six adults and 3 older teens) dropped by for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and despite the crowds, and our large group size, we did not have to wait long for our group to be seated. We'd just been hiking and everyone was hungry and thirsty, yet our waiter did a great job of keeping everyone happy and hydrated.
Parking in Gatlinburg is expensive although if you're willing to walk a few blocks you can find it for free.
Bubba Gump specializes in dishes made with shrimp. I have a shellfish allergy so I had more limited menu options which included avoiding any fried foods but I was able to find several menu items and make a satisfying choice. The server was very sensitive to my allergy and helped with the menu selections, even substituting mashed potatoes for fries.
This was a bit of a pricey meal, a little above average, and portion sizes were a little on the smaller side, but everyone enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere. I'd visit again.

My husband and I went purely because of Forrest Gump and we had a giftcard (and he wanted the hat). We can now say we went and content to never return. Waitress and staff were great, soda tasted watered down, the scampi was flavorless and the Forrest's feast tasted like the fish and fries were old (chewy fries, leathery batter on fish). It's definitely overpriced and loud even at less than 50% capacity. All it took was one very loud family to echo through the place.

Not sure where to start, it was sooo bad. I looked at menu online before we went but what we ordered was a little different & 3 dollars more. It was an appetizer sampler, 17.99, supposed to be fried shrimp, chicken strips, seafood hush puppies & spinach dip. The first thing we noticed when it came was a full cup of chicken, but other two cups were filled with shredded cabbage and 3 fried shrimp & 3 seafood hush puppies. Small bowl of spinach dip. Had all cups been full, 17.99 would have made more sense. But it didn’t matter anyway because everything tasted awful. Shrimp was bland with Panko breading, no flavor to it at all. Knew I wouldn’t like seafood hush puppies & figured enough other stuff to be happy-NOT!! Spinach dip was nothing special, the chicken breading was good but chicken was flavorless, needed some seasoning or marinade before frying. I give kudos to our waitress, she noticed we didn’t eat the food & talked to manager (that didn’t come to speak to us) but they took off the charge, so we didn’t have to pay for it. A truly a bad, bad meal. I have eaten at this restaurant a few years back & was great & eaten at one in New Orleans & was great.

The food was terrible and definitely not worth the price. The shrimp was way overcooked which made it rubbery and was smothered in cream sauce. Looked more like shrimp soup, not to mention the shrimp were tiny. The salmon was even worse, so overcooked it was like eating leather. And both were served with a scoop of cold rice and broccoli or spinach. The appetizer we ordered was a sampler platter for $17.99 which consisted of spinach artichoke dip, 3 small fried shrimp, 3 hushpuppies, and 5 tiny chicken nuggets. Total bill was over $100. So disappointed!!!

won't be back to this location. The host was rude(dawn)snatched the menus back from us after we were done looking while we waited. The manager on duty told us to go stand in a room with atleast 15 other people because of "social distancing" and telling people to wear their masks but i didn't see the first employee wearing the mask the way they should. I heard a server talk to two new hired horribly and if that was me I'd walk out. The food wasn't that great you could tell nothing was homemade. The burger I had was so burnt all you could taste was that. The only good part about the visit was our server. She was so bubbly(good luck to her in school).

Family of four had two "20 for $20" shrimp that included fries and slaw. Shrimp were a little on the small side but fried lightly to crunch and chew. Fries are good and cole slaw is great! I really like a cole slaw that isn't floating in mayo. Service is very friendly and efficient. Some prices a maybe a little high but they do have lunch specials and you can eat pretty good from the happy hour items.

I had heard about Bubba Gumps for a while, with their locations across the country, but I had never been to one until I went out to dinner for a friend’s birthday party in Gatlinburg. It was my first time in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, so I was already reeling from the kitschiness of this strange, strange little area of Tennessee. We were a party of about 10, so we had to wait nearly an hour to get into the restaurant on a Saturday night. The birthday-boy had told me how things go in Bubba Gumps but it was quite more than I imagined when I got to experience it first hand. All the décor inside, floor to ceiling, is memorabilia, photos, quotes, posters, and other assorted catch-all from Forrest Gump. All the servers spit out quotes from the film and will quiz your table with trivia from the movie. I prefer to enjoy my food and the company of the people I’m eating with, I don’t need the waiter to be in my face, drilling me with movie quotes and questions. We all squeezed into one long table and it was downright uncomfortable to try to eat that way. I will say that the Mama Blue’s shrimp gumbo that I ordered was delicious, with the Andouille sausage and poached shrimp. It melted in your mouth. I have mixed feelings on my first trip to Bubba Gumps. It’s a beloved place but it seems to have been a miss for me. I’m not sure I’d return.

Food was just average. I ordered the shrimp cooked 4 different ways and my husband ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp. The shrimp were small. The mozzarella cheese sticks were delicious. Prices are high. Neat experience to see all the movie paraphernalia, but don’t plan to return.

Showed up to eat around 3:30-4 and was told 30-40 minute wait. Got sat in about 15 minutes. Waitress was friendly and professional. We ordered coconut shrimp, Shrimper’s Heaven, and Forrest’s Feast and everything tasted great. It’s a little pricey, but it’s a themed restaurant in a tourist area so the prices are about what you’d expect for that. We still felt like we got plenty of food and left full. We had a good time!

The best thing about this place was our waiter! I am so disappointed at how run down this place has gotten. The menu is limited and the prices were ridiculously high for the selection. If you’re not eating Mon-Friday before 3:00pm, many of the dishes are closer to the $20 range. Our food was bland and flavorless with the exception of the Shrimp New Orleans— it was delicious!
We’ve been to this Bubba Gump’s numerous times previously, it’s a vacation favorite, but this visit about did us in.
In a time of COVID, they need to do a DEEP scrub. The whole restaurant looked filthy from trash and filth on the elevator to the bathrooms to the food on the floors. We arrived at our table and there was leftover food sitting on the floor and a spilled drink they had to mop up. The mopped up the mess but left the dropped chunks of fries and broken crayons.
Our waiter was AMAZING and the best part of our visit, so we tipped him well. Do better Bubba Gumps!!!

We've ordered late at night and the food is without taste. The hushpuppies tasted like they were sat all day. The fried fish on my sampler platter had no taste. The shrimp tasted previous frozen.

Due to covid and the wait being crazy long we opted for take out. It was a poor choice. We drove to a park to eat our food and when we opened it they had substituted the pears on our salads for apples without asking us. I hate apples. Plus it was mainly all lettuce. Very little nuts or cheese. It was not good and unfortunately we both had ordered it along with a bowl of chowder. The chowder was barely one step above canned Campbells. Also the prices were higher than the menu on website. Stick with dining in if you want their food.

I had not been to Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in years. The last time I visited, I was in Chicago. Today while traveling through Gatlinburg, I wanted to share the experience with the kids. This experience was different than the last, no doubt.

As soon as we walked in, there was a worker (host?) with a beard and big black hair who stunk up the lobby/reception area with BO!! We were immediately hit with his blast wave when we walked in. A woman said she was going to look for a table for us, but she came back. The real issue is that “stinky” hung out in the same area while we were waiting. Other people walking in the door smelled it and were visibly appalled. Thankfully, another host came to our rescue before the paint started peeling from the stench.

Once we were seated, it took about 10 minutes for a server to arrive The one we got was not good. She was not engaged, cranky, and let us sit there without refilling drinks. Very poor service from her to say the least. I need to mention that other servers seemed great - They were engaged with the customers, friendly and made it fun for them. Our food took a good 40-45 minutes to arrive. Since we rarely saw our server, we figured that she must be out trying to actually catch the shrimp herself, as they can be quite fast and elusive. Once the food arrived, it was just OK. Certainly not like my experience in Chicago.

As we were leaving, “stinky” was still chilling out in the lobby/reception area. As soon as we opened the door to that room, we were again hit with his blast wave. Another family passing through also seemed more than aware, as the wife said “Oh, My!” And the kids were holding their noses on the way out. Unfortunately, when we think of Bubba Gump, this guy will always come to mind. A person cant “un-experience” that, which is a shame. The kids said they dont ever want to go back.

My boyfriend ordered the ribs and grilled shrimp. The taste was good, but the ribs barely had any meat. I got crab legs. They were okay. The peel and eat shrimp were delicious. We ended with the dessert sampler, which was not great. Service was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, just wish the food was better for the price we paid.
