The Village is a nice little bit of class tucked away just off the Gatlinburg strip. It has fountains, flowers and plenty of places to sit and enjoy your coffee and donuts from the Friar. Good pastry, coffee and the staff have all been friendly and helpful. Try them...

This doughnut shop has great tasting doughnuts. Very good selection, friendly staff, nice and very clean Best of all the shop is located in the Village - there is a very relaxing fountain with bench seating just steps from the entrance to the Donut Friar-a great spot to eat those delicious doughnuts!

The doughnuts here are excellent. This spot is tucked away in "The Village" on the main street in Gatlinburg, making for a nice quiet spot for a quick breakfast. They open early, which is a plus for early risers.

I ordered the Bavarian Creme donut expecting the usual custards goodness in a fluffy donut. What I got was an experience. A crispy (fried) outer shell dusted with powder sugar encasing a delicious, yeasty inner softness with a fantastic vanilla custard center. Best Bavarian Creme ever. Hands down.

Nice homemade pastries and doughnuts. Bring cash though they don't accept cards. They have a cash machine and give you free water if you have to use it.

The Donut Friar is an absolute must while you are in Gatlinburg! They have some of the best donuts you will ever eat in your life. Every single time we have ever visited Gatlinburg we always go to the Donut Friar and buy several donuts from them. Especially the white pillar donuts and the chocolate covered white cream stuffed donuts.... More

All of the doughnuts we have sampled are great and the prices are fair for the area! We enjoyed them and they were still fine warmed the next day!
