My mom and I absolutely loved The Wild Plum Tea Room. We had the Hot Pimento appetizer, Salmon Burger and Lobster pie…so good with fresh ingredients! I can’t forget the Belgium chocolate torte, the perfect treat at the end of a great meal. Everything on the menu sounds so good. The proprietor is such a wonderful chef and host. We would highly recommend making reservations!

Who ever goes to a Tea Room? I got dragged kicking and screaming by my wife to this Wild Plum Tearoom place. It turned out to be one of the best lunch meals I’ve ever had. We were served by the owner/cook and the limited menu was explained. She has been doing this for 22 years and knows what people like to eat and expect to be treated. Started with bake Brie with crackers and muffins. I had chicken salad and the best tomato bisque soup I’ve ever had. The salmon burger was to good for words. The food was outstanding.

Took awhile to get our reservation confirmed. After a week of trying, we were confirmed. Thought this might be an amazing hot spot since we had to wait awhile to confirm our reservation. Not to mention how curb appealing the outside is. Been driving by for years and have always wanted to try it. Not one to write negative reviews. Truly. When we walked in we were warmly greeted. Sweet tearoom decor. There were only three tables occupied. Felt concerned. lol Our waitress was nice, but seemed to want to BREAK everything down for us on the menu. Like Every. Single. Thing. We were hungry and just wanted to eat something. Almost felt forced to hear all the breakdowns of how everything was prepared! We were starving by the time our food arrived. The teapot they used was for one person. Took awhile to get refills. But eventually we were served nicely. They should have used a larger teapot for 4-6 cups of water. Would save them a lot of steps. Been visiting tearooms for years and never saw that before. When we received our food it was very, very bland and lacked flavor. The restroom upstairs was not very clean as well as old and needed updating. The music playing in background was annoying! Who plays adult contemporary Jazz in a tearoom? Also, it was too loud. We won’t go back. Very unusual dinning experience. Left feeling tired, hungry( small portions) and a little overwhelmed. The setting was beautiful. Our waitresses were very kind.

We arrived and were ignored and told they only take reservations as they can’t handle any more people as only 2 people work there. Plenty of space to sit. No indication of reservation policy for lunch on internet. Very disappointed.

This place is so quaint and peaceful❤️ We loved sitting on the enclosed porch listening to the creek. The food was amazing. My husband got the Ahi tuna cooked to perfection, then the Brie cheese with crackers and fruit so good. Entrees, my husband got lobster pie with quinoa salad so delicious! And I got chicken salad it was so fresh and tasty. Then the blackberry cobbler was excellent as well! And the brownie sundae with homemade ice cream, chocolate sauce and walnuts was everything you would want. All food is homemade! Kacy is fantastic! The warmth she had. She does it all. Cooking, serving etc. I hope I can do all that at 71 too. Can’t wait to come again! For all of u that are complaining. She tells you exactly how to see if she has an opening. You can text her. Read all info on her website as how to get one. She takes reservations in the order the text is received and if she has availability.

Not even sure that this place is still open. They don't return phone calls or text messages. We have tried calling and texting for over a week and cannot get a response. Oh, and the voicemail box is also full. Terrible customer service. Evidently, they don't want our business or money.

Awful service and terrible reservation guidelines. What a joke. Why does this place act like they are in such high demand and when there they turn away walk ins but half the place is empty.

We had a fantastic time - went with 2 teenage girls (17 & 18) and a 15 year old boy. The tea was the best we've had. The whole restaurant is run by 1 woman - she cooks, serves, and cleans. She can only do so much by herself so you can't be in a hurry. The food was amazing - we even tried one of every dessert! I don't know how she does it, but I'm glad she does!

Quaint tea house situated in a cabin with a deck for outdoor dining. Delicious Austrian-style tea served hot and cold with unlimited refills. Savored the chicken salad, cold pea salad, tomato bisque and mini plum muffins. Save room for their homemade desserts!

It was our first visit here, to this quaint beautiful restraunt in the forest. The hostess explains the menu and dishes,so choices are easier to make. Bone china tea cups, and plates. Excellent beverages, try their teas. Pure joy for your soul. We each chose different entrees, but shared the pimento cheese appetizer. A major treat for you awaits. Each meal was beautiful, delicious with fabulous ingredients hand made. Their signature German potato soup, was unlike any We have ever had. Absolutly marvelous!❤ well worth every penny

One of my favorite meals and experiences ever! The ambiance is adorable and the food selection was amazing. We made a reservation for 12:30 on a Friday and were seated promptly. The three of us each had a different appetizer, main course and dessert which were all fresh, delicious and flavorful. Their house plum tea is served hot or cold and had just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. The ambiance is really lovely and offers patio, screened porch, or indoor seating. You can tell the entire staff take great pride in their food. I highly recommend making the effort to visit this gem when in the Gatlinburg/pigeon forge/Sevierville area.

The outside is quaint and the inside is typical of a tea room, filled with girly things you might expect to find at your grandmother or great grandmother's house, including lace table linens, frilly seat cushions, curio cabinets, fragile tea cups/saucers and furnishings that have stood the test of time. We had a reservation for 1:30 pm and we weren't seated until 2:15 pm. Which is odd because you would think that's what reservations are for. I started a week prior to our visit trying to call to make reservations as the pre-recorded greeting recommended. Somebody did call us back to confirm. I mentioned my friend and I were vegetarian but only 1 vegetarian meal the strata was saved for us the day we arrived. We ordered the mushroom soup, the baked brie (which was pretty good) and the strata (which was okay) with the pasta salad (the pasta was raw - really undercooked (not al dente but raw) and had the chocolate cake (which was really dense) Their wild plum tea was delicious to begin with but afterwards we had stomach aches - wondering if they put artificial sweeteners in it. The service was polite. When we asked if they had wifi, they said they couldn't remember the password?! The meal was overpriced for what it was. It was also very hot in the restaurant. I would not recommend this place.
