Everyone at the table tried a variation of the trout. I had the smoked whole trout with grilled onions and mushrooms and it was definitely the best of the bunch. Overall, it was our best dinner in Gatlinburg.

The variety of Trout dishes cooked in different ways is very impressive. I really enjoyed the food and the quantity with the salad is very generous!

Trout choices many ways - fresh and served just as they promise- nothing to write home about- kitschy- mountiny- better than a chain place- but not fantastic- prices were good- roughly $20+

Just finished a delicious meal. I had the pan fried trout and my husband had the Eisenhower style. Both were just perfect. Awesome fried mushrooms for our appetizer and great cole slaw. Nice glass of chardonnay too. Warm and welcoming service. Felt like home!

Not much to look at - but I have to say the food was spectacular. works like the whole family is working there- but a great dinner choice for all tastes. The Prime rib is just as good as the Trout!

This little restaurant is on the north end of downtown on the east side of the street. It is an easy walk, but there is plenty of free parking across the street.

Smoky Mountain Trout House prides itself on offering absolutely the freshest trout in Gatlinburg. Our trout are ice packed directly to the restaurant. Once it has arrived we take great care in our preparing your selection exactly as you like. All of the trout served in this restaurant are Rainbow Trout, grown in the sparkling clear waters of the Smokies. The purity and flavor of mountain trout offered great pleasure to the original settlers of the Smokies. So... have a seat, rest a spell and you, too, can enjoy a special treat... real Smoky Mountain trout! Thank you for visiting us and remember to treat yourself to trout... It's as good as all outdoors!
