We really wanted to eat here. Made an attempt on our last night in town. Walked to the rest around 6:00 and it was a 50 min wait. We went somewhere else. I gave four stars for the employees friendliness when we walked in. It looked like an old hometown restaurant.

We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last 23 years, and have even had the same server many times. This place is unique among eateries. If you like mountain trout, as fresh as can be and served in multiple ways, this is for you. It isn't fancy, and the restaurant itself is dated and even a bit... More

Great food! Smoked Trout is awesome! I was a bit skeptical when we walked in, but we had read the reviews that the food was great. Mary the waitress was sweet. The place doesn't look like it has been changed since the 70's.

After riding around awhile to find a parking garage place my family of 6 walked in and was greeted by do you have reservations? I said no mam didn't know we had to. She said well you'll have to wait 1 1/2 hours so we turned around and walked out. I advise to call ahead and make reservations.

Nice small family owned resturant in Gatlinburg. The trout was amazing and the wife had prime rib which she loved. We will be back.

No trip to the Smokies is complete without stopping by to see Ms Mary at the Trout House. We come back every year for the great food and service.

My mother and dad use to be competitive fly fisherman. Trout was their favorite so bringing mom to Gatlinburg, TN with me for an art show this is the one place she wanted to try. All I can say it was absolutely amazing! My mother had the Eisenhower and she was in heaven. Mary was our waitress and I can't... More

I never even knew this place was here, but we slipped in this tiny place even though we don't eat seafood, we just wanted to see what it was like. The salad was so god with homemade dressing. I got chicken and my husband got steak. It was delicious.

Looking past the cheesy vinyl table cloths and decor we were looking forward to a nice meal as advertised in trip advisor, WRONG!!! She ordered the trout almandine I (after inquiring about the prime rib) was assured that it was to be a nice medium rare (like it should be). Lame iceberg lettuce salad with older ingredients, the hush puppies... More

When we are in the area, we always try to eat here. The trout is delicious. The service is wonderful. They have parking designated for those dining at the Trout House so that is a very big plus especially if you are not staying close by. Highly recommend!
