We visited Split Rail with our family along with our dogs for breakfast. We ate outside. They were very attentive and the food was great. It’s off the beaten path but we’ll worth the trip. Great French toast and chicken!!!

This is definitely the best place we ate during our trip. Split Rail Eats is absolutely beautiful. The food is home made style delicious. We had American breakfast for all the kids and for lunch, stacked Yardbird, Mac and cheese (the best), soup and Cheesesteak....Split Rail Eats has a charming and cozy atmosphere even though it is very busy, we didn’t wait long for the food. Our waitress was very nice and added to our experience. I would recommend the cookies and boozy shakes.More

We found Split Rail Eats on Trip Advisor after arriving at our cabin and wanted something to eat but we weren’t quite ready for Saturday crowds in Gatlinburg. What a great restaurant. Sincerely, highly recommend. Great atmosphere, decor and food was fantastic. It is a...little pricey for “counter order” style food, but it is delivered to your table and my wife and two pickey teenage young adult daughters loved our meals. I had a Philly cheesesteak that was incredible and a Coke in a real bottle. We all topped it off with a scoop of ice cream. My one complaint for them is it’s a little hard to find nestled in this kind of inverted artist community that is hard to see from the twisty road. Not really SRE’s fault just is what it is. Sincerely highly recommend and our daughters were already asking to go back.More

We stopped here after going to the forbidden caverns and it hit the spot. Whole family got what they were craving and our daughter couldn’t stop drooling over the cheese steak sandwich. All was delicious and the staff was so delightful! Absolutely worth it!

Are you looking for unique food? The food was delicious. The taco tater bowl was good not spectacular but still good. The fried pickles were so so good… crunchy and spicy. The dipping sauce wasn’t my favorite but not bad tasted a little like horseradish....The fish tacos were also liked by our kids as was the hamburger. The atmosphere is funky and it’s off the beaten path so we liked its quirky style. Although It was a little pricey….We’ll be back if only for the fried pickles ! 😁. Yummy!More

Split Rail was exactly what we were looking for. We ate there for dinner on a Saturday night over Presidents’ Day weekend. It was a ridiculously crowded day in Gatlinburg and we were looking for some place out of the hustle and bustle. We knew...covered bridge had a restaurant so we tried it out. Not only was it the only place we could find without a wait, but the food was also amazing. The kids loved their chicken tenders and grilled cheese. (I admit I had some jealousy about how good the chicken tenders looked) My wife had the fried chicken sandwich which was absolutely delicious (thankfully she shared a bite) I had the Philly which was also very good. Split rail hit the spot for us and we were so glad to not have to wait after a tiring day. The staff was super friendly and seemed genuinely glad we had stopped by! We plan to go back today before heading home!More

What a cozy place with great service and great food. The Jacked Turkey and the Cheesesteak were both delicious. Excellent tater tots. Wonderful ice cream - best mint chocolate chip I've ever had. Nice sangria and the IPA my husband had was very good.
