I ate here on Sept. 25th, 2020. The food was very average. The chicken quesadilla was shredded chicken that tasted like canned chicken and the shredded cheese was not even melted in the quesadilla. My friend ate Ceviche and she said the fish was not...fresh at all. Chips were ok but the salsa had a weird taste. The rice was very dry as if it had been sitting out too long. And one important thing to know is that they do not have a liquor license so nothing but beer available. As for the the cleanliness, I had to wipe the table off before sitting down. There was dried beans on the table and rice on the floor. The smell in the building was extremely bad. It smelled like a wet towel. I personally would not eat here again.More

The place was ok. Old and could use a little cleaning. The wait staff was really nice. Social distancing was good. They only had beer which was fine but wanted a margarita. I had one of their mix meat specials and my wife had the...carnitas. The carnitas were a little over cooked and could have used some verde sauce. They mixed meats was good but all tasted the same cause they were all sitting in verde sauce. The portions were huge. The salsa was decent. The guacamole was good. You could tell it was made with their pico. The video from the widows was good. Would we go back? Maybe, but probably not. I think there could be better Mexican food around the area.More

We were pleasantly surprised by this "lets get some Mexican" last minute stop. The waiter was ever so pleasant and attentive. The food was also soooooo good. I would definitely return here if I ever gat back to Gatlinburg.

We expected average Mexican food but were sadly disappointed. The food was below average at best and the service was average. My chorizo and steak tacos were burnt and when I asked for no Jalapeño, they took off all toppings( cilantro. Onion ) The monster...torta and fries were just not good. Took a few bites and returned both meals. Will not eat here again Back at home, the Mexican restaurants are pure authentic deliciousness. Was very disappointed in this one.More

Restaurant is a bit hidden on the 3rd floor. Great food and service! I tried the enchiladas de mole and it was delicious. Delicioso Comida Mexicana !

Located across from our hotel, we wandered in looking for a snack and were wonderfully surprised! GREAT food, great prices and as my husband is Mexican, he thoroughly enjoyed speaking Spanish to the super attentive and friendly staff.

We tried to go to another Mexican restaurant but the wait was too long. Luckily, we found El Sonador! We were seated right away and it wasn't crowded. The chips (served warm) and salsa were a delicious start to our meal. Our favorite entrees were...tacos al pastor, fajitas, and a dish with multiple meats (and shrimp) served in a lava bowl. Also, the guacamole was awesome. Good service, too!More

My wife and I ordered fajitas for two. This was more than enough food for the two of us. Food was delicious. We do highly recommend this restaurant.

Being from Texas, I didn't have high expectations going in but we were pleasantly surprised. The food quality was very good and the portions were very large. The guacamole was very good and the large was massive. I dont remember the name of the dish...I had but was pork, chicken, steak, and chorizo topped with cheese and onions served on a fajita skillet, it qas excellent. My wife had the carnitas which was great and the kids really liked their dishes as well. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. She took great care of us. Definitely worth doing to again.More

We got to Gatlinburg late and had a hard time finding something open. We wanted Mexican food but the one we went to was closing so we ended up having pizza. So the next day we happened to pass this place walking from our hotel....It's sort of tucked away which I love because it wasn't a super long wait. The first night we got right in and got to sit by the window to people watch. We went again the next night which was a little busier and waited about 15 minutes. The food is good and so filling! And the chips probably helped with the filling part. Lol. They're so light and crispy! The queso is good too. The first night our server was Mabricio and he was excellent!! The second night it was busier and I think our server was new. But everything was fine. We waited a little longer for our food but all was good! Definitely will be back!More

I just went back and checked my review, it was 5 stars. Look at another review, theirs was 1 not mine.
