Great day strolling around Grand Marais. Service was great, lunch was quickly served. BLT was the best we've ever had. The bread was a mild rye ever so lightly toasted crunchy but moist and bready on the inside. The curry mayo was a creative addition to the sandwich. Wonderful!

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant as we were in need of a dinner spot. It was delicious. Every bite was fantastic. Service was great. Food unique and tasty. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We walked into this unique restaurant not knowing what to expect. The menu had a wide range of delights. We (2 adults) chose the steak and the white fish. And of course desert -- the carrot cake was delicious, & plenty for 2. From the minute we walked in to the minute we (hesitantly) left it was a true delight.

The burger I had here was incredible. This is the first time I have eaten here and it definitely won't be the last. If you are visiting Grand Marais this has got to be the best restaurant in the city.

The line was out of the door when we stopped by to eat. After leaving our names, we headed down the block to the ever entertaining Joyne's Ben Franklin store to wander and wait until we could get a table. The server was friendly and knew the menu well. We went with her recommendation of Lake Superior Herring on a... More

Visited the Crooked Spoon for lunch, 2 of us had the 1/2 lb burger and 1 the BLT. All 3 were delicious, very tasteful. Would order again.

For years we didn't even consider Crooked Spoon as an option on our North Shore vacations because we didn't want to dine at a "greasy spoon", small town cafe. But, thanks to trip advisor, last year we re-learned that names and looks can be deceiving! This place is great and it's anything but your typical small town cafe. Cozy dining... More

The food was very good, but I was shocked at the prices. Being a "café" we had expected pricing more in line with a soup and sandwich shop. Most meals were well over $20. However, if budget is not an issue, the food was fantastic.

We have loved this restaurant, looked forward to being there again. Four of us went to dinner, one meal out of the four was great. Two of us had scallops, they were wonderful but all of the sides were not! Asparagus so tough we couldn't cut it! Sweet potato mash was beyond bland. The fourth meal was generally disappointing. But... More
