We were here early this summer and absolutely loved it! The dining area is small and features local artwork on the walls. The view of Grand Marais Harbor is very nice. And the food....was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We both got the New York...More

We arrived in Grand Marais on a Friday evening and wanted a meal of fish. The outside of this restaurant beckoned us as it was a former home. The interior, as well as staff, were warm and friendly. The fish we had was excellent and...More

Everything we had here was fresh and delicious. The service was good despite the restaurant being very busy. This is clearly a favorite spot for the locals. If you don't have a reservation the wait is likely to be quite long.

I stopped in for lunch on my way to Grand Portage National Monument. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions and bacon. It was SO good! The place is converted home so it has a cozy, intimate feeling. The services was excellent.

During a 4-day fall color trip on the North Shore, our dinner at the Harbor House Grille was the best meal of the trip. Checked menus at 3 other restaurants and opted to make reservations (recommended) here. Salads were very nice. Wife had the grilled...More

We picked Harbor House Grille after checking out three menus in the same area of Grand Marais, MN. We were seated in the white and airy upstairs of a converted house and had a whitefish meal that was well-prepared and well-priced. The service was very...More

Went for lunch and noticed the heavy traffic going into this place. It doesn't disappoint. The french oniom soup is amazing. I also had the blue cheese burger that was good. I had the maple bacon crème brulee dessert and it was quite tasty.

Stopped for lunch during the fall colors. We both had the turkey burger which was great. The raspberry pepper jam and seasoned patty were an amazing combination. My wife’s salad had great greens. No iceberg stuff here. Definitely would return.

I believe the lamb shank was on the menu when we were there in July, but I think a phone call would be a good idea! Sometimes menus change with the season.
