A delightful restaurant practically overhanging Lake Superior. Very good seafood fresh from the lake. The fish market and marina is right next door. Minimal on site parking. Most park on the side of the highway. When busy you may have a short walk.

We always make a visit to Angry Trout when we visit Grand Marais in the Fall. Great food and the best maple mustard dressing in the world.

Recommended and room to park opposite, although you may have to park further away on busy days. Food was good - local fish fillets - battered not breadcrumbed. Fries were nearer game chips. Tea was Earl Grey - a popular choice in this part of USA. Large locally crafted teapot. Somewhat pricey.

My all time favorite place to eat~ever. The fish is always the best whether it's salmon, whitefish, herring or whichever! The salads and chowder are my favorites. Beautiful location and in my favorite town.

Had a late lunch at the angry trout. I had the salmon & it was amazing. The best I had ever had. My husband had the fish & chips & was disappointed with it. The fish looked more like walleye fingers & got very little fish & lots of fries.

Walked in and ignored by front desk staff for a few minutes. No hi, welcome or anything making you think they want your business. Menu doesn't seemed to have changed in over ten years. Chicken was fine. Also had fried fish special. Asked for lemons told don't have. Waitress never came back to see if we needed anything or if... More

This used to be our favorite place in Grand Marias. However the last 3 years they haven't had any white fish when we go. We end up going to Harbor House Grille where they always seem to have white fish. The food is great, the location is great, I'm just frustrated that they run out or don't have the fish... More

Best fish and chips in Grand Marais. Everyone working was friendly and upbeat. Restaurant has awesome views of the lake and the pricing wasn't too high. They also make their own soda which was really good.

I would drive five ours here and back for the Angry Trout grilled whitefish dinner. Like all the dinners, it's accompanied by their traditional wild rice pilaf with dried cranberries, peas and herbs, or fettuccini with butter or pesto, and the best salad I have ever had, overflowing with the freshest lettuce and vegetables, and in-season fruit. But the center... More

My most stand-out dinners in Grand Marais have come from the Angry Trout. It had been six years since my last dining experience here and I am pleased to say the meal was just as memorable as it was previously. Six years ago I split a grilled walleye dinner with salad and a wild rice blend ($25) and although had... More
