The restaurant is a palette of color, walls and ceiling awash in the Cree Indian Motif. The fireplace is made of 200 tons of the local rock. Very unusual that the food is so good in such a beautiful restaurant, but it is. The French...More

A historical restaurant (and lodge) is a real eye-opener. Food is very good too, a very pleasant and civilized experience. No alcohol.

The decor of the dining room is absolutely stunning. The entire property is immaculate and beautiful. Dinging room staff is excellent. The worlds finest French Onion Soup combined with a fresh walleye sandwich is a memorable lunch.

Beautiful setting to relax for a meal. They don't take reservations for groups under five, so if you come during a rush, you will be asked to wait in the solarium. Once seating the rest of the process is pretty "leisurely". Soups and sandwiches were...More

If you haven't been there, get there. If you have, go back. What an exciting past for such a lovely restaurant. Good food, good service in a beautiful setting equals a great time. No time like the present. Tim and Jane

Excellent waitress, excellent walleye sandwich, excellent grilled whitefish, all in a mind-boggling historic setting, painted as if a Cree medicine man had discovered LSD 100 years ago. Beautiful. Stunning fireplace that required 200 tons of local rock. We did not stay here but wanted to...More
