The restaurant has a unique and beautiful decor. The atmosphere is quiet and reserve. Our waiter was new to his job, but was very friendly and provided good service. They had a respectable wine list, including by the glass. We ordered the brie as an...More

Incredable atmosphere and great food. The only draw back in the past was no wine but Naniboujou now serves wine with dinner. The Sunday brunch has amazing choises. The breakfast gluten free French toast is the best I have ever eaten. Salads were fresh and...More

Sunday brunch at Naniboujou Lodge & Restaurant features numerous outstanding dishes, and no duds. The smoked salmon, the bacon and the bread pudding stand out, but it’s all good.

Naniboujou is a restored lodge on the lakefront, a few miles north of Grand Marais. Apparently, it gets mixed reviews as a place to stay, but better reviews for the restaurant. We had lunch with friends on a recent weekday here and thought it was...More

We ate here 2 evenings as we were staying in Judge Mangey park and didn’t feel like cooking dinner after long days of hiking. One night I got the white fish and it was excellent. The next night I got the steak. It was also...More

We were looking for a place offering a more elegant lunch than burgers and American style sandwiches. Well Nanoboujou certainly is elegant and the servers are in keeping with the general ambience as well. Sadly we couldn't see anything particularly creative and interesting on the...More

The fish lunch special won't disappoint. White fish or trout. Delishious. I don't usually order dessert, but the options were so enticing I ordered the Danish cream with blackberry topping. It was a dish that was extremely yummy!
