My wife and I have driven, biked, and hiked past this place for decades. It's too bad we were so reluctant to stop; we missed a lot of good breakfasts. The cinnamon rolls are stupendous and about the size of a hub cap. The blueberry pancakes and coffee are as good as any on the North Shore. Beyond the food,... More

I've never seen anything like the cinnamon rolls here, they are huge and taste as good as they look. The lodge restaurant has a very large fireplace and is painted in its original native design patterns. Beyond the rolls the rest of our breakfast was also excellent. Take a walk to their beach to burn off some of the calories!

My husband and I had lunch here on a recent trip up north. The food was excellent and good service. Love the history! We want to come back next year and spend the weekend.

I have been driving past this place for the last 50 plus years and this is the first time I have ever stopped, I did not know what I have been missing, hope I have the chance to visit there again. Food was great for lunch, had a tour of the place great view of Lake Superior, did not get... More

The historic dining room is a sight you don't want to miss. The service was great. Food presentation was good. Soup and fish entrees were delicious. Wish we could have had a glass of wine to complement our meals.

After having read about this place I was hoping to get a room for the night but they were fully booked. We decided to make the drive from Lutsen for dinner and although the wait was long we a had a great table and the staff was very friendly so we were ok waiting. The food was wonderful, which made... We stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning right at 9am. At that time, there were only about 6 tables filled. We were seated quickly but for part of the time, there was only one server. Behind us, many more people were seated and finally, another server was working, but it still wasn't enough for the amount of people... More

If you're looking for something a little different try the afternoon High Tea at Naniboujou. Cozy, quaint, quiet, and peaceful. The fireplace is the largest natural stone fireplace in the state of Minnesota.

While we have not stayed here, we have stopped here for a meal. The food is excellent. We stopped at lunch time and were extremely pleased with the great meal and portion size. The dining room is well worth the stop. It is beautiful. The lodge is well known for its breakfast rolls. We were able to take some with... More

We have had a tradition of stopping by for tea on our fall weekend getaway. At first we loved it. The servers were very attentive offering seconds and the tea pot was always kept full. On the last visit we decided not to return for tea. Each year the attentiveness has decreased and this year they omitted the pound cake,... More
