My friend took me here for lunch that lives in Silver City while I was visiting him for a couple of days. Place was busy but were seated right away. I had the 3 ground beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were just...like I would have made at home! Good! Just wish they had different meat. Rice was really good to. Good service. Very reasonable prices!! Really enjoyed my lunch. Would recommend to go to!More

We love going for chicken enchiladas (stacked) with Green Chile here at the Silver Cafe. I want to try other things, but we love the enchiladas and Green Chile so much it's hard to stray from it. The Green Chile is the perfect temperature...not too...hot, but very flavorful. And they don't put it into a blender and make it smooth, you see the cut up Green Chile, which I really like. And it's a healthy serving, but not too much. I highly recommend this restaurant Because it isn't made ahead, but made when you order, you wait a little while more, but it's worth itMore

This is a very small cafe in downtown Silver City. We had a delicious meal. The refried beans taste just like they do in Guadalajara!! I had a cheese enchilada with green sauce and an egg over easy on top! Best Mexican food I've had...for quite awhile! Don't expect fancy, just good food, reasonable prices!More

Diane’s Silver Cafe. It was Recommended! We pulled in to Silver City in the midst of state wide restaurant shut down. Our RV park suggested we call for takeout, which we did. By the time we arrived it was real to go. We had chicken...enchiladas, burritos, chips & salsa and extra tortillas for some great sit down social isolated dinner. Glad to support local business during this difficult time. The salsa snd sauces were spicy for us, sour cream cooled things down. Good food.More

This local restaurant was packed for lunch so we thought it might be good. There are two waitresses and, frankly, they both have a lot of attitude. You seat yourself and then they come by to take your order. All of us ordered enchiladas. They...were made with small, round corn tortillas, which was very strange. As they were corn and fried first, they were very tough and not very good at all. The beans and rice were excellent. Chips served table side were heavy and tasteless. That is not a very good endorsement for a Mexican restaurant. In looking around, many patrons ordered breakfast-type meals and perhaps that would have been a better option. There are better Mexican restaurants in Silver, which I would recommend over this place.More

Obviously a local favorite. Good breakfast offerings at a good price. Not a fancy setting be comfortable. Great ham!

Good diner food. Service very slow. Waiter seemed uninterested in helping. Tried to give our order to other diners. Strange since there were only about six tables in use.

Great breakfast with great staff. Food delivered to others looked so good. Small eatery but worth waiting for. I could see the dish washing area from where I was sitting. Everything thing was cleaned to a “T”!

This cafe's main focus is great Mexican food! The service is very personal, and speedy. The Combination Plate has nice large portions and was delicious, and it is authentic southern New Mexico style. Small homey type place with booths and tables. I really liked the...food and the service, but sometimes it is so crowded that the wait is long.More

We had wanted to try this restaurant and were so happy we did. We wanted green or red chili, and my husband got the chicken enchiladas with green chili and I got the tamale plate with "Christmas"....we were both very happy with our meals. Feeling,...but not where you feel stuffed. Excellent flavor and fabulous chili.More

We had lunch here because it was the only place we found open on a Monday in downtown Silver City. The sandwiches were simple and served on toast with ruffled potato chips. There were Mexican entrees and a few blue plate specials. Waitresses were friendly....What really made the place was the pie! The day we were in they had pecan (my choice), peach, cherry (my husband’s choice) and apple. They will warm it and add a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream if you ask. The pie was delicious!More

Ive been going to Nacy's for 14 years. The food is consistent and the salsa is great. The guacamole is made with ....get this.....AVOCADOS! Not some avo with lots of onions, chilis and filler. Simple and affordable.

If you're looking for a good basic breakfast place, Nancy's is it. Hot cakes, eggs, some Mexican items--nothing fancy. You won't find eggs Benedict here, but the food is good and inexpensive. Our waitress was wonderful.

We stopped in for lunch. I had the combination plate and my husband had the tostada plate. It was the worst Mexican food we had ever had. There wasn't any flavor to anything. Thank goodness the salt shaker was on the table.
