Very nice albeit small English pub on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. Great selection of draught beer and they also have a couple of cask condition ales as well. I had the cod and chips and it was one of the best I've ever had. Generous portion of fish cooked perfectly and the chips were very good if just slightly over... More

Small Irish pub with a large bar and a limited number of tables. TVs playing soccer. They fry everything imaginable, but the haddock and chips (fries) with their horseradish aioli is absolutely delicious! Shrimp were also fried to perfection. Other offerings such as Sheperd's Pie and Welsh rarebit. Number of beers on tap. Decent prices.

I had excellent fish and chips a few times. The have the choice of Haddock and Cod usually and many other interesting dishes to make any child happy. Adults go for the traditional. Excellent choice of beers. The first location on fifth ave. closed a year of so ago and The Chi Shop moved to Atlantic Ave. where they seem... More

Arranged to meet our son here. Young lady behind the bar made us very welcome. Excellent selection of beers included among the usual beers in N. Y., London Pride & Speckled Hen. I had the 'Pride' and it was excellent. We did not eat but my son had Fish & Chips and 'mushy peas' it was as good as any... More

The four of us stopped here for an early lunch on a weekday afternoon. They had just opened for the day and we were the only patrons at the time so we were promptly seated. Had mushy peas, mac and cheese, bangers and mash, and fried haddock, cod, and shrimp with chips (fries). Very good overall, however, the fried cod... More

It is not the original Chip Shop (Park Slope) featured on Travel Channel. This Chip Shop appear to want to be a bar first verses a restaurant. The chip shop when featured on the travel channel was small and brightly lit restaurant. The bar is dimly lit with some of the original furnishings from the Park slope restaurant. The bar... More

Wish I knew what the hype is all about. This place is "world famous" apparently. To me it was just a really small bar with a few beers on tap. Looked like they have a decent whiskey selection though. I went in the afternoon during happy hour and the prices weren't to bad. I didn't order any food which I... More

What a surprise. We were with friends in Brooklyn when one of them told us about The Chip Shop. We had to go! Had great fish and chips and a pint of Stella - it was heaven and so unexpected. Cost was about £12. Very friendly staff - 2 from the UK. Would strongly recommend.

The Chip Shop -- either the Atlantic or Park Slope locations -- are a favorite stop when I'm in NYC. And you can only have deep fried pizza about once or twice a year without feeling guilty about it anyway. Both locations are small and busy all the time. Last Wednesday night at the Atlantic Chip Shop was packed, but... More
