Brooklyn has some great restaurants and we decided to try something different. Zaytoons is a small, busy and very good place to get a Mediterranean meal. Since it is small, it can be noisy.
We started with a zaatar with feta and combo plate which was very good. The portions are very generous! We ordered 2 veggie plates and a shawarma platter. Add in a few beers and you have a very good meal that is relatively inexpensive at less than $100 including tip for 4.
We will be back!

There are a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants in Brooklyn and this was not one of our best experiences. The staff were cold and unwelcoming. We had falafels and they were dry and without any special touch. Boring. Cash only also.

The best thing about Zaytoons was the server. She was kind, helpful and engaging. We very much liked the outdoor seating. Fun and enjoyable even on a hot day. The canopy keeps it pleasant.
I had been there before and liked my meal more than this time. I wish I remembered what I ordered at my first visit.
The best thing was the labne appetizer. It went well with the bread that was also good. The baba ganoush was tasty. Two of us had vegetable kabobs which were nondescript in taste and texture. Grilled vegetables can be delicious. These weren’t. The salad and rice were equally plain. One of our party had a meat dish. He found it uninteresting. We usually look forward to new places and are very much drawn to Middle Eastern food.

The owners of this place are antisemites. That's not my opinion -- they declare it openly through posters in their windows spreading terrorist propaganda and lies. And the food was never good here either.

If you love the food from Middle East this place is the best place in a Town . The charming neighborhood eatery is inviting as you enter here - there is an open seating in the yard which is very pleasant during day time and evening besides inside . The menu offers vast choices with freshest Pittas I have ever eaten . I went there with my family - we ordered a platter of Hummus ,and choice Of 5 selections acompanying delicacies ,a bowl of falafel and the bowl of lentils which went well with the steaming hot pittas . We had ordered a lemonade to go with food . One can order pizza made on pitta crust with lovely toppings ! We went there on weekend for lunch and had not done reservation . The food is super delicious , fresh and satisfying . Service is super . Prices are are realilisric The total meal cost us $40 plus 6 $ tip . Do not miss eating here if you in a Brooklyn and want a tasty vegetarian meal .

Went for dinner on a Sunday. The restaurant was pretty full but there was only 1 waitress on. While she was nice, she was distracted and missed taking all our orders before walking off. Our later orders were incomplete and my merguez platter didn't have any merguez sausage in it.
What they call merguez looked suspiciously like an oblong burger, made of minced meat rather than spicy red sausages. I triple confirmed that this was indeed the merguez and she said that this is what merguez is at this restaurant.
Apparently, kofta, to this restaurant, is comprised of thosse succulent spicy red sausages. Unless they were covering for a mistake, better order the kofta if you want merguez and vice versa.

Very fresh and delicious. The service was great. , Big portions and the food came out quick. They only take cash. We had Lamb Kabobs, Baba Ganoush & Hummus w/ Pita.
Small eclectic restaurant. Prices were reasonable.

I ate here on a business trip. Food and service were great; prices reasonably. Keep in mind this is a cash-only place. I normally don't eat at cash-only places, as I prefer to put everything on my card, but I'm glad I made an exception here. I'll return.

Excellent and cheap Middle Eastern comfort food. Quick and delicious, great for take-out. All the basics and some very interesting extras - like their tuna kabob pita.

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed a flavorful, comfortable and reasonably priced dinner here early on a Sunday evening. We shared lahambajin which we found a bit spicier than we expected, and ordered salad, the marinated chicken, and shawarma for our main dishes. Babaghanouj and the pita were excellent. Everything was fresh and the service was excellent. Being able to enjoy dinner in their garden enhanced our pleasure. I look forward to returning to try some of their offerings that we did not have on this first visit.

This is a very nice place to eat that also delivers! My personal favorites are ANY of the breads they make there, and also the lamb sandwich or platter. If you want some middle eastern flair in your meal, Zaytoons delivers! (Literally.)
