I have patronised the location at Avenue M and Rockaway Parkway for several years and was very excited when I realized a location had opened on Flatlands. Then I visited and had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. When I first entered I...was pleasantly surprised that there was only one customer and no line even though there was only one cashier/clerk and one baker working. Ten minutes later as the one customer got his order, checked his money then placed a whole other order, my patience began to wear a little thin. Five minutes later I was still waiting along with five people behind me when the baker decided to take my order. I ordered patties: 6 spinach, 6 herring and 4 beef. When he brought the box over it looked as if he had written 'ch' for chicken so I repeated, "6 spinach, 6 herring." He said yes and repeated after me, I paid and left. When I got home, I realized he had given me 6 codfish. I immediately called back, explained the error and said I would return to pick up my correct order. So I go back to the store, this time 3 people are waiting. I watch as a woman in front me is given 2 boxes of herring, while the baker says, "You called?" I say yes, he goes over to the ovens, tells me there's only 2 herring, more will be done in 15 minutes. I tell him I need 6 and admit my confusion since I called and the lady infront me just got herring. He says he's making more, takes the box I had returned and tells me I ordered chicken. I explain to the gentleman no one eats chicken in my house and he insists I ordered chicken then angrily offers to return my 10 dollars. I insist on my order so he takes the box with the patties I returned, opens it, puts it on a table and starts sweeping around it. I take pictures and inform him I will be contacting the Health Department and the Better Business Bureau. He throws the box away and five minutes later I receive a fresh order of spinach and herring patties. I would like to add that as I voiced my displeasure, several other customers stated that they too had ordered one thing and received something else. Incompetent, rude, dishonest staff. If you want Haitian Patties check out the location on Avenue M and Rockaway Parkway. Stay away from this disgusting bakery on Flatlands!More
