I really suggest the Mussels & pasta Linguine with Mussels... it was just great!! I had the creamy wine sauce with the Linguine... fingerlicking good!! The mussels were very fresh and big. We also had the coconut schrimps as appetiser, so tasty!!We sat outside, the...service was very good and friendly. The Long island Ice Tea was also good, just like it is suppose to be. If you like mussels, you really have to try it.More

Stopped in to eat after a fun day at Coney Island. Found the service to be very poor from the start. Took 45 minutes just to get three glasses of water for three. Took another 30 minutes to get cocktails. Waitress was clueless and forgetful....We saw many patrons leave without paying their bill due to the lack of attention to the customers. Suggestion don’t eat at this rest until the staff learns to be more attentive and caring. Would not have left a tip if it wasn’t included on the check Avoid this place by all means unless you’re desperate and no. Where else to go.More

This restaurant offers a decent lunchtime menu away from the crowds on Coney Island boardwalk. Located near the subway station, I got much faster service than if I'd attempted lunch among the weekend crowds. The Red Door burger was not bad.

Wow. The pleasure beach wasn’t that good, but I wanted to see it for its feature in ‘Big.’ It’s a bit like Blackpool and a bit silly for pricing if you’re from England... but we had a bit of a good time cos we used...our sightseeing pass to get in, and saw more of the USA cos we had a subway week pass... anyway, we were hungry afterwards and wanted some proper food (hopefully). Everywhere was shut... apart from this place. I love mussels, and asked for them. I have NEVER tasted better mussels in my life, nor so many. I was worried cos the time of the year is not the best traditionally... but I believe they are the best for seafood... and I did not suffer afterwards in any way. The service was very personal and effective. And quaint. I loved it. Everyone should go - but in season it MUST be busy, so watch out!!More

Visited after a day at the beach and finding little else in the local area. Food menu was very limited, drinks average at best. Only redeeming feature was the incredible feud that seemed to exist between two female bar staff / servers who looked like...to scratch each others eyes out at any given moment. Totally hilarious, although pretty unprofessional behaviour.More

Just across the street from the infamous Luna Park you will find this restaurant. I like it because it has tables on the sidewalk. The hamburgers here are delicious and the music they played the day I was there was lovely (from the 80's). It...is located two blocks away from the subway station.More

So, not exactly Manhattan prices, but close. We had drinks here one afternoon after exploring the boardwalk. The main redeeming quality was the outdoor patio. Service was good and friendly

Went for lunch. I don't eat meat and there was an extremely limited choice. Surprisingly on the day we visited despite being on the coast at Coney Island the only fish choice was calamari or shrimp. I ordered salad and calamari, the 'salad' consisted of...mainly lettuce, two tomatoes and a couple of slivers of red onion about an atom in width. The calamari was dry and uninspiring with no dressing of any kind on offer. My daughter ordered grilled chicken and salad, the chicken being described as grilled would lead one to assume it would be hot. When her meal arrived her salad was as mine - just lettuce mainly - the chicken was cold and greasy and I've dished up better to my dogs. It was underbelly, dark meat and completely unappetising, just chucked on the plate with no attempt at presentation. No dressing or sauce on offer for her meal either. We were very hungry and were on the last day of our holiday with no time to spare before we caught our transport home so just ate it. Dull and horrible. Our waitress was very pleasant and I have no complaints about her. The venue itself was dingy, not very clean, dark and untidy. The bill for what we received was very expensive over $40 I would recommend that would be diners give it a complete miss. Abysmal.More

They have a varied menu but unfortunately all of the seafood items were out of stock. We were there on Monday and apparently it had been a really busy weekend. So we all choose burgers mind being one of their specialty burgers with chipotle sauce...and other good fixings. We all agreed the meat was of a good quality and they were all around delicious. The service was good and we sat outside. Note that the inside is rather noisy with the music turned up high.More

After a day on the beach I stopped for beer before hopping on the train and before I order a drink a notice a small baggy on the floor. Whatever... it probably fell from a persons pocket. But I politely call a waitress over to...ask her to take it away, and she told me "if you don't like it- move" People will do what they do -but the staff condoling illegal activities is not cool. Final Note- she did not pick it up and throw it away, she walked to the other end of the bar a picked up her phone.More
