We arrived early evening and this may be why the bar had only one person serving which meant a queue for the food followed by a longer wait for a drink. We were told that the ribs were really large that evening so we were prepared for a feast, only to be bitterly disappointed with the plate of bones we... More

Had a great time here. Queued for a short time to get our food, Ribs and Brisket and sides. then found a pace to sit at the communal bench type setting. The meat was cooked perfectly, the best brisket i've had. There was also some great local beers on tap which we also enjoyed.

After standing in a bit of a line to order you can choose from a variety of great BBQ meats. The BBQ sauce itself is spicy and amazing. you can order interesting whisky flights at the bar to enhance the all experience.

Probably the best BBQ I have ever had. Meat was very flavourful and not covered in sauce, felt like good quality ingredients. Like the set up of having your meat weighed and paying by the pound, means you can try lots of different items. Sides also of a very high standard. Definitely worth a visit for fans of BBQ.

I was really excited to visit Fette Sau, however I found the food to be average at best. We ordered the pulled pork, and got served lots of meat and two small buns...That's it. The whole place smells like a furnace, and I noticed that most of the meat they serve was severly burnt...is that really intentional?! The price was... More

The meat and atmosphere are really good and the prices are fair. However, we had to wait in line for almost an hour and when we left the line was almost twice as long as in the beginning (i.e. 1.5 hours wait). To be fair it was on a Saturday evening but I think in high times be prepared for... More

On a typical afternoon weekend, you will notice one thing as you approach Fette Sau... a very long line. Fret not! They have a unique way of serving the customer at Fette Sau which lets the line not be so intimidating after first glance. There is no formal wait staff which will take your order. As your round the corner... More

Found this place recommended on loads of lists of top BBQ places in NYC and it didn't disappoint. Authentic look and feel to the European-style bar and restaurant, it's not table service so just get in the queue for the meat counter. Really friendly guys who recommended what we should go for and what weights and the sides were outstanding.... More

Such a great spot for BBQ. Just do it, you won't be disappointed! Really reasonable prices and decent craft beer!

Having visited Fette Sau while on holiday I thought it was one of the most 'hip' restaurants I've ever eaten in not the mention great quality produce! The staff were friendly, and the drinks menu was great offering a wide range of craft beers and really great cider. We will definitely be recommended to our friends planning a visit!
