This is a busy bistro with a nice vibe. They offer large fresh salads, fresh sandwiches, and tapas. They have tables and benches. We arrived at 1:00 p.m. mid-week and got seated right away, but the restaurant was full the whole time we were there. I had a delightful large arugula salad with pears, pistachios, and warm breaded cheese balls.

Crowded few tables, too hot for outside, loud, 20-25 minute wait on a hot day to sit down. This is my recirew. Should have chosen somewhere else as ths was too close to flea market.

This place has been around long enough now to be considered a part of the neighborhood. Great food, friendly staff and always busy. Reserve.

We walked in on a hot Saturday evening with no rez, but our hostess was very accommodating. After a short time at the bar with a nice special cocktail, the 3 of us were seated at 4 top in the middle of the room. Our octopus and salmon rillette apps were delicious, but the Paellas, Mariscos and Lamb, were out... More

I traveled to Brooklyn, in July, to meet my new grandson-born 5 weeks early! I stayed 2 weeks to help the family, who live on Layfette, near Olea Restaurant. Just before I left, we had Brunch at Olea. This was not my first visit, and the food this time was just as good-or better than a year ago. The waitstaff... More

I dined here twice while visiting a friend who lives in Brooklyn. We waited a while for a table on a beautiful Sunday evening in June and it was worth the 30 minutes. The restaurant is small, comfortable and cozy. It's not fancy but feels welcoming what you'd expect from a nice mediterranean taverna! The staff was great. Very friendly... More

We stopped at this wonderful establishment for brunch - and very glad we did! Relaxed and earthy vibe (lots of live plants) and quick sincerely kind service! I had the Green Eggs & Lamb (very tasty and a large satisfying meal at a reasonable price, $12), my wife had French Toast (very sweet & rich), and my daughter had the... More

We really enjoyed our first visit here for brunch. On a Sunday, wait until 12pm and you can get a mango (& other flavored) mimosa! The french toast was super delicious with a side of lamb sausage. What you say? Lamb? The waiter highly recommended it, and although I'm not a big fan of lamb, I decided to try it,... More

Our last day in New York so why not have a catered breakfast. Three of us enthused over the Turkish, one had the baguette and the fruit bowls were tasty. Apart from the food, which was voted as delicious, the venue was quite eclectic and spacious. I think we should have come here earlier in our visit. Total cost for... More

It's hard to find such good quality, good tasting food for a somewhat affordable price in NYC. While Olea isn't cheap, the price matches the quality of the food. Everything tasted fresh and was seasoned spectacularly. The vegetable paella is one of my favorites, and the sangria pairs well with it. The wait can be long, but the food is... More
