Now, two things you can count on in NY is great pizza and bagels. La Bagel did not disappoint. Nothing better than a hot bagel smothered with cream cheese - the cream cheese helping was truly a very generous portion!. And if bagels aren't your...cup of tea .... try the breakfast sandwiches. Egg and cheese bagel sandwich with freshly made eggs - not the kind you find and a hotel breakfast buffet or pre-made in other fast food places --- nope made fresh to order - can't beat that. A MUST VISIT for breakfast or anytime.More
A little gem where the bagels are baked on premises and are soooo good. The deli section has many varied salad choices and Bagel toppings. Great place for a delicious Lunch, snack or lite dinner! The Bagels are varied and gigantic!!! Enjoy !Hello Sunday brunch.
This place was surprise and a welcome one at that. Another piece of authentic Brooklyn tradition. Bagels are large and heavy as they should be, crusts that you bite through and a good assortment. Service was fast and pleasant and they were open VERY early.
Amazing bagels, great coffee and a surprising assortment of breakfast and lunch items makes this a Park Slope favorite establishment on 7th Avenue. Try the egg bagels--out of this world. Soups, when available, are great. Old-school deli items mixed with new sandwich concoction-chic. Relatively affordable...items, fast service, friendly staff. They keep things moving, with a sense of humor too. Sunday mornings are bustling. Great for last-minute cookie and pastry gifts!More
The bagels are too big, by that I mean that they are probably the size of what they were 60 years ago. In some instances the hole in the center no longer exists. There is more to a good bagel then the water that is...used. Shape is as important as well. Other then that the service is fine and efficient; but for a bagel I prefer quality over quantity.More
If you are taking out, this place is very good. The bagels were authentic and delicious and LARGE. However, there is no place to sit...at all. There is a 3 ft. counter space in a corner by a trash can. Wouldn't go back, unless for...take-out, which appears to be their main business.More
We crossed the Brooklyn Bridge in the hope of getting a table at Grimaldi's, but due to an insane waiting line, we went in search of other New York style options. We found this place and it was fantastic alternative!
The staff were friendly and...efficient and made a delicious bagel for a very reasonable price! We enjoyed the fact that we could grab our bagels then eat them by the river. This place really is a hidden gem!More
